Affiliate marketing
Affiliate marketing is the easiest and probably the best way to make profits online if you are not a merchant and prefer to sell your own products online rather than advertise other merchants' products on your site. But even online sellers can benefit from affiliate marketing programs because affiliate marketing actually works for both merchants and affiliates.
Affiliate marketing, simply put, is a relationship or agreement between two websites where one website is the merchant website and the other is the affiliate website. In the relationship, the affiliate agrees to let the merchant advertise his products on the affiliate's website. The merchant, on the other hand, would agree to pay the affiliates in whatever way they agree. This would generally mean easy income for the affiliates since they would be doing nothing but placing the seller's ad on their website.
There are a variety of methods for a marketer to compensate an affiliate for their services, and for a webmaster, these methods simply translate into a way to make easy money. Some of the more common compensation methods include pay-per-click, pay-per-lead, and pay-per-sale. The Pay Per Click method is the method preferred by affiliate partners because a visitor to their site would only have to visit the advertiser's site to earn money. The other two methods, on the other hand, are preferred by merchants because they would only have to compensate you if your visitor becomes one of their registrants or if the visitor actually buys their products.
A merchant or advertiser simply registers with Google and provides Google with text ads related to their products. These ads, which are actually a link to the advertiser's website, would then appear on Google search as well as on websites owned by affiliates or webmasters who have signed up for Google AdSense.
The ads that Google would place on your site would generally be relevant to the content of your site. This would be beneficial for both you and the advertiser, as your website visitors would be more or less genuinely interested in the advertised products.
The Google AdSense program compensates the affiliate on a pay-per-click basis. Advertisers pay Google a certain amount every time someone clicks on their ad on your site, and Google transfers that amount to you via checks, though only after Google deducts their share of the amount. Google AdSense checks are usually delivered monthly. Google AdSense also provides webmasters with a tracking tool that allows you to track the earnings you actually get from a particular ad.
On the merchant side, a lot of money can be saved if advertising efforts are focused on affiliate marketing rather than dealing with advertising firms. As a webmaster, you can easily make a lot of profit by doing what you do best, which is creating websites. And if you combine all your earnings from Google AdSense and other affiliate marketing programs, it would certainly add up to a lot of money. Affiliate marketing may well work for you. Affiliate marketing programs and the Google AdSense program simply work, whether you are a marketer or an affiliate.
