How Adding peanuts, spices to diet may improve gut health in 4–6 weeks

Recently, researchers conducted two studies investigating how the consumption of peanuts, herbs, and spices affects the gut microbiome. They found that all three ingredients increased gut bacteria diversity after just 4-6 weeks of consumption. Of spices and herbs, 54 participants with an average age of 45 were gathered by the researchers to study the impact of herbs and spices on the microbiota. Each individual had at least one other cardiovascular risk factor, such as high glucose or triglycerides, in addition to being obese or overweight.

The types of gut bacteria are influenced by diet.
