About several years ago, a German physician, Dr. Hans Neiper, discovered a natural enzyme while finding a natural way to deal with all and any type of inflammation.
What is inflammation?
Inflammation is anything in the body that should not be there. Any "non-living tissue," quite simply, is just about anything that causes pain. Blockages, such as in the head or chest from mucus, like catarrh, sinus or bronchial problems, asthma, emphysema, or industrially induced problems including asbestosis.
Things like blood clots, prostate problems, arthritis, ulcers, cancers, and a mass of other issues that your doctor will tell you cannot be helped are all caused by inflammation.
What is the name of this natural enzyme? How he discovered it?
The name of this natural enzyme is Serrapeptase, and it is naturally found in silkworms. Silkworms use it to dissolve their cocoon. Dr. Neiper realized that the silkworm dissolves it's cocoon when it turns from being the worm into a moth, and it does so in a short time, then it must have something that dissolves "nonliving tissue" because the cocoon is a rigid structure of dead tissue.
Extraction and Implication:
Dr. Neiper extracted the slimy fluid that silkworm secretes to dissolve the cocoon and separated the Serrapeptase enzyme, gave it to his patients, and achieved staggering results very quickly.
He gave it to one patient due for amputation of a hand because of a blocked artery. It cleared the blockage, and the man kept his hand. He also reported that Serrapeptase dissolved blood clots and caused varicose veins to shrink or diminish.
To achieve the enormous amount required today, Serrapeptase is now naturally processed commercially through fermentation. Histological studies have revealed the powerful anti-inflammatory effects of this naturally occurring enzyme. In 1968, Japanese physicians introduced it to markets and research labs as an anti-inflammatory drug.
How does Serrapeptase work?
Serrapeptase or serratiopeptidase is a proteolytic enzyme ( that means it breakdown proteins), and it is isolated from a non-pathogenic bacteria Serratia E 15, found in the intestine of silkworm. It works as an anti-inflammatory drug with a higher affinity for cyclooxygenase ( COX I and COX-II ), a key enzyme associated with the production of different inflammatory mediators. In simple words, serrapeptase works against COX's and prevents them from initiating the production of inflammatory mediators.
It is experimentally observed that it simply dissolves non-living tissues into smaller particles ( not harmful) that travel in the circulatory system and may, later on, excrete out of the body through the excretory system.
Benefits:
Known possible benefits may be the resolving of pain; dealing with lung problems; eye problems; ENT problems (Ear-Nose-Throat); trauma; inflammation of any kind; cardiovascular difficulties, and very notably, arthritis.
Serrapeptase can enhance the activity of antibiotics by inhibiting the production of biofilms and adhesion to host cells by pathogenic bacteria.
Serrapeptase can and does resolve many problems that doctors tell us are insoluble.
Side effects:
Serrapeptase was well tolerated in short-term clinical trials, but long-term safety has not been evaluated. Rare, serious adverse effects of serrapeptase include eosinophilic pneumonitis, bullous pemphigoid, hemorrhage in a patient with Behcet disease, and possibly Stevens-Johnson syndrome.
Alternative remedy:
Alternative remedies, many of which have stood the test of time, in some cases many hundreds of years, finally offer hope to many people. Serrapeptase is one of such alternative remedies, and it is now being consumed as an alternative to NSAIDs and many antibiotics to improve their functioning.
Serrapeptase is a recent addition to the list, being "discovered" only 55 or so years ago. But it works for many people, and much more knowledge is yet to be discovered about it as scientists and physicians are still working on it to understand it more profoundly.
