How a food startup can be successful
For the first time in history, there is a food startup that’s made it extremely difficult for you to tell if its business model is right or not. With this new era of food startups comes an array of challenges, which are a big deal and can be very tough. When I think about how exciting it would be, to be able to have a company like J&J's, but one that doesn't need us to pay anything in order to eat our own cheese (or other foods), it makes me realize that I need to be really careful when creating something to start off with, so I created it myself. Without even looking, because my goal is to make healthy and interesting products, I already have almost a million dollars in savings. When I hear "J&J", it just comes out as milk, and without needing them to pay for anything, it just feels good to get my hands on some delicious meals as well.
I'm at work now, writing up all of these recipes in a journal. My job is to get everything organized so that I don't end up procrastinating because I haven't had enough time to prepare every meal properly. It seems like it's taking forever to come up with certain ingredients for each dish, but I'll never forget what day it was when I found the recipe for pasta I needed to make for dinner. The reason why I ended up choosing this meal over some others was simple; even though I was already feeling hungry, I wasn't feeling itchy, but by now my skin was itching from the salt in everything. So, I made pasta, and then I realized that pasta isn't just the Italian staple in life for a quick snack, it's something that makes me feel better on the inside because I enjoy eating more Italian foods. Now, if you're thinking... 'but pasta is so salty,' and you know exactly what's in pasta, do you see where I'm going? Not only that, but this particular meal helps me in the long run because each bite counts, plus the money is coming in. Plus, I didn't spend my evening waiting around for a delivery boy because I had to prepare the entire product before he even arrives. This is basically half the price to come into the store and grab whatever I want at home. What's even more amazing about this is that it takes less than five minutes to figure out a recipe for pasta, and then it's just another thing to eat! Now that this has worked out for me, I could easily have made a million more meals like this, not only did it save time, but it also got me through everyday life. If someone said that having this much money saved you time, they'd probably say that this helped me in ways that nobody else will ever know about.
This brings me back to the topic of time, and we've all been there. We live in such a busy world that it's hard to find time to actually enjoy something that's good for your health, and that has to do with how the majority of companies these days operate. As a society, we put so much emphasis on being busy that people often neglect their physical health, until today, when we create things to help fill up our precious hours. Nowadays, we also have technology and apps that allow us to stay connected with the outside world, even if it just seems to be a faraway place at the moment. We have instant access to any news or information we want with our phones. Maybe those same smartphones were once called journals, and I'm sure the majority of us who use those will agree with me that they're just amazing. This type of freedom has provided us with opportunities, and we can use them to accomplish and achieve anything we set our minds to.
Now, when it comes to this idea of making products such as our snacks to replace the way the past times used to be, that's pretty cool to me. After all, being surrounded by so many choices gives us a sense of happiness, knowing that somebody out there knows exactly the answers to our problems. I'm excited to see how far food innovation can go. Whether people are satisfied with just pasta or macaroni, I guess it depends on where you look on the spectrum of taste. In the next decade, the world might be completely different. We may only have to worry about getting to the grocery store, and doing what we need to do, like grabbing a cup of coffee. Or maybe we'll get rid of the whole concept of shopping altogether, replacing it with what we have at home. Either way, people won't need to leave their homes, and the internet will still be there. This sort of lifestyle will happen, and with people like us adopting and adapting to this lifestyle, food will be easier to make and more available. All of us need to start thinking twice about spending our money on items that barely provide us with anything good, like soda, which usually costs $2 a bottle. People need to start investing in things like cooking with our families and helping them. Maybe instead of paying for groceries, we should consider buying food so that we can do everything on our plate for ourselves. One of the most convenient options is making breakfast for yourself at home, which takes two hours, and you only need to heat a small pot with water and your favorite fruit and vegetables.
