Helpless parents in Bengaluru have used the microblogging site Twitter to reach a broader audience for assistance in finding their underage daughter, who went missing on October 31. It's been two months, and the detectives are still looking for leads, describing the case as "complicated." Anushka, 17, left her Bengaluru home on October 31 with two sets of clothing and 2,500 rupees in cash. Her parents are still experiencing the horror of not knowing where their only daughter is two months later.
"She was attempting to evade us. Everybody. We know she cares for us. Sure, she'll come back to us "Her mother remarked.
Anushka was a typical adolescent until her parents observed a shift in her behaviour in September. She went into seclusion.
"I brought her to see a therapist. We saw that she had stopped communicating to us, was keeping to herself, and had confined herself from household duties "Her father introduced her as Abhishek.
Anushka's parents feel that reading about shamanism, an ancient therapeutic method that is said to communicate with a realm of spirits, affected her decision.
What exactly is shamanism?
Shamanism is a spiritual practise that has existed in communities all across the world from ancient times. Shamanic methods are, first and foremost, practical and flexible. Over centuries, these traditions have coexisted alongside many civilizations, political systems, and structured religious rituals.
Many established faiths, such as Buddhism and Christianity, have ancient shamanic roots and retain shamanic strands of profound connectedness to the sacred in all things. Shamanism, on the other hand, is neither a structured set of ideas or an ideology. Rather, it refers to a set of actions and experiences that shamans across the world engage in. These behaviours are adaptive and can live with a variety of civilizations, political systems, and structured religious beliefs.
Shamanism is now researched and practised as a life path in non-indigenous societies. Individuals that take a shamanistic approach want to be in contact with the spirit in all things. They aim to consciously shape their own life experience by using knowledge and advice from non-ordinary reality.
This viewpoint is not intrinsically incompatible with any religious practise that permits a person to have a direct interaction with whatever higher power they believe exists.

Sahara Rose and Kamya Buch, spiritual practice coaches and psychedelic instructors, are said to have inspired Anushka after she completed her 12th grade. She allegedly told her parents that she wanted to practise shamanism.
According to Bengaluru police, there were no CCTV cameras installed at the location where the adolescent was claimed to have been dropped. They're looking at her internet activities.
Bengaluru North Deputy Commissioner of Police Vinayak Patil stated, "Through the use of CCTV cameras, we were able to track her movements. Apart from her internet habits, which we were able to forensically acquire, we are looking at her current interests. She has not communicated with anyone throughout this time. We're looking at a massive database of CCTV footage."
