In our daily busy life House Maid or Male Servant plays an important role almost in everyone's life. The day the maid is on leave is the hate most day of many people in the world, because doing all the chores by themselves gets difficult. We become so much dependent on them.
But do all of us treat them as they needed to be treated. I mean we all are Human Beings right and we don't like it if someone behaves badly/rudely with us. Then why do we behave badly/rudely with them? Why don't we think even once about them, as they are also a Human Being and might be hurt by our behavior or harsh words? Just because they are working under us doesn't mean we have got the right to behave as we want with them. No one has given us that right.
They are such people who gulp most of our behavior (whether good/bad; mostly bad) and wouldn't utter a word just by the thought that they are getting paid for their work and has no right to speak against their Owner/Master, but we should not take them forgrantedly. Chores that can be completed by them with soft words, then why to be harsh. I do agree that being strict is important but I also agree that being strict and rude is different. We can be strict without being rude, for which I think we need to be strict but not rude. As we work in our office we would not expect our Head/Boss to be rude to us. As we are working for our family to support them, so are they doing the same thing, the only thing that differs is the designation.
I have come across many people who treat their maid/male servant in a very bad manner, which is very upsetting. If we learn to keep ourselves in their place, then only we might understand how it feels to get treated that badly. Unfortunately, none of us does that for which we can treat them badly.
Just think for once, if we start behaving in a good manner with them, they would feel nice and happy and being nice won't cost us anything, and who knows they might start working with more interest than before, as it is proven that a person with happy heart does their work sincerely.
I don't have any offense for anyone, nor any wish to hurt someone's sentiment. I wrote this article because that thought came to my mind. I have a request to everyone who has maids/male servants at their home, "please treat your servant as a Human Being", as it will make them a little bit happy and help them in concentrating on their work. I would take a moment to thank those who treat their servants as a member of their family, Thank You. Lastly, if you can't treat them right, then please don't treat them in a wrong manner as well.
