Hot Dip Aluminized Steel top10

Hot Dip Aluminized Steel is a high-performance steel designed for extreme environments. Through a hot-dip process, a dense coating rich in aluminum (typically ≥85% Al content) is formed on the surface of a high-quality substrate. This aluminum-silicon alloy coating provides exceptional resistance to high-temperature oxidation and corrosion, far surpassing conventional galvanized materials, performing particularly well in high-temperature sulfide environments. It is the ideal choice for automotive exhaust systems, industrial heat-resistant equipment, and high-temperature applications.

Parameter of Hot Dip Aluminized Steel

Features of Hot Dip aluminized carbon steel

Outstanding Heat Resistance:

Withstands high temperatures up to 600°C.

Superior Anti-Corrosion:

Aluminum-silicon coating resists oxidation and corrosion.

Advantages of Hot Dip Aluminized Steel

Exceptional High-Temperature Oxidation Resistance: Specifically designed for heat applications, the Aluminum-Silicon coating provides reliable protection against oxidation and heat corrosion at temperatures up to 677°C, far surpassing conventional galvanized steel.

Efficient Thermal Reflection Barrier: The coating reflects over 80% of radiant heat, making it an ideal material for ovens, furnaces, heat shields, and automotive exhaust systems, contributing to energy efficiency.

Reliable Durability and Corrosion Resistance: The aluminum-oxide film forms a dense barrier, offering long-term atmospheric and chemical corrosion resistance, especially in humid or harsh environments involving heat.

Cost-Effective High-Alloy Alternative: In many high-temperature and heat-resistant applications, aluminized steel provides performance comparable to high-grade stainless steel but at a significantly lower cost, reducing overall manufacturing expenses.

Application Fields

Automotive Industry: Exhaust manifolds, mufflers, exhaust pipes, catalytic converter housings.

Heat-Resistant Equipment: Industrial ovens, heat treatment furnaces, burner parts, heat exchangers.

Construction Sector: Fire doors, heat-resistant roofing panels.

Agriculture & Chemical Industry: Grain dryers, chemical production equipment.

Manufacturing Process

Hot-dip aluminized steel is produced by immersing steel strip in a molten aluminum or aluminum-silicon bath. The substrate is cleaned and annealed in a reducing atmosphere. It is then dipped into a bath of pure aluminum or Al-Si alloy (typically 8–11% Si) at 680–720°C. The silicon improves coating adhesion and inhibits brittle Fe-Al intermetallic growth. After dipping, the strip is cooled and may be skin passed. The resulting coating is rich in aluminum (≥85% Al) and provides excellent heat resistance (up to 677°C) and corrosion protection.

Quality Control

Our products strictly adhere to ASTM and SAE standards. We conduct rigorous tests on coating composition, weight, adhesion, and high-temperature oxidation resistance, and can provide relevant test reports.
