During a press conference, White House spokeswoman Jane #Sackie denied that the United States had deliberately imposed sanctions on Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Who is Alina Kabayva?
Alina won a gold medal at the 2004 Athens Olympics as a gymnast. He entered the world of gymnastics at the age of 13. In #1998 he won his first world title (in the rope category).
Since then, he has won several medals at the European Championships in 2001 and 2002. He also won several world titles in 2003. He was also embroiled in a doping scandal. Yet he did not face any major punishment for this.

'Alina Festival' in Moscow amid headlines
According to The Moscow Times, Alina appeared at the Alina Festival in the Russian capital on Saturday. He was there in May for a gymnast show to air on Russia's Victory Day celebrations. "Every family has a war story. We must not forget those stories and pass them on to our next generation," he said.
He spoke in support of the US Alliance, but said that maintaining some independence was not the answer.
The Daily Mail reports that after Alina's participation in the show, she was banned from publishing reports that she was hiding in a bunker in Switzerland or Siberia.
Hundreds of children attended the event. The 'Z' symbol in support of Russia's invasion of Ukraine was also displayed.
