You can use these tips right now to help you stay focused on your health, so it stays strong all year long, regardless of what happens in other areas of your life or career. Good luck!

Get vaccinated
Getting vaccinated is one of the best ways to protect against some of the most serious health risks in your life, including measles, tetanus, diphtheria and many more. Getting vaccinated can be lifesaving! The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommends that you get a tetanus-diphtheria booster shot every ten years after you turn 18 years old. Eat a balanced diet
A balanced diet is key to a healthy lifestyle. Eating a variety of foods will help you get all of your nutrients and vitamins that you need. Focus on consuming lean protein, vegetables, fruit, and whole grains. And drink plenty of water! Our bodies are 60% water, so we should be drinking 8 cups of water per day. Try adding citrus fruits or lemon juice to your water to make it more refreshing

Exercise regularly
Exercise is one of the most important parts of a healthy lifestyle. It strengthens muscles, improves coordination and helps maintain weight by burning calories. Make it a priority to find ways to add 30 minutes of exercise into your day. If you're not used to exercising regularly, try finding someone who's in better shape than you and do their exercises with them or get on an app that will help you stay accountable with your workouts. You'll be amazed at how much better you feel after just one week! Once you start seeing results, it's going to make it easier to keep up the hard work. And don't worry about being too out of shape or overweight-everyone starts somewhere. Your first goal should be getting into better physical condition, and then work on losing weight from there.

Get enough sleep
getting enough sleep is essential to your health. If you're not getting enough sleep, research has shown that a lack of sleep can decrease cognitive function and lower your ability to think clearly. It's also important to get enough sleep because it allows your body time to heal and release hormones that regulate growth, mood, and appetite. Try getting 7-8 hours of sleep each night in order to feel refreshed in the morning and do more throughout the day! Best yet, try going to bed at the same time every night, so your body gets used to this schedule and trains itself how long it should be awake before going to sleep.
Next, turn off all screens about an hour before bed, so there are no distractions or disturbances at this crucial time. When you lay down, make sure the temperature is comfortable - too cold or too hot will affect how well you rest.

Manage stress
Managing stress is important to your health and fitness. If you're feeling overwhelmed or anxious, try taking some time to meditate and reflect on what really matters to you. You'll feel more grounded and less stressed as a result. Consider adding yoga to your weekly routine, which not only helps you manage your weight, but also lowers blood pressure and boosts mood.

Limit alcohol consumption
It's important to limit alcohol consumption in order to maintain a healthy diet and lifestyle. Studies have shown that regular alcohol consumption is linked to increased risk of liver disease, heart disease, cancers and type 2 diabetes. Plus, overconsumption can lead to accidents, injuries or other health problems. If you do drink alcohol, try to limit your intake to less than one drink per day for women and two drinks per day for men. For example, if you usually drink wine with dinner on weekends, try to switch out wine for something else like sparkling water with lime. And remember, there are plenty of other ways to celebrate the holidays without drinking too much alcohol!

Don't smoke
If you smoke, stop. Smoking is a leading cause of lung cancer and can lead to other health problems such as heart disease or stroke. You'll feel better and live longer. To get started, ask your doctor about nicotine replacement therapy (such as patches, gum or lozenges) that help wean smokers off cigarettes without stopping nicotine use entirely. Avoiding cigarette smoke also reduces exposure to toxins such as tar and carbon monoxide. The benefits are immediate and long-lasting.

Protect your skin
protecting your skin is more important than ever. In 2022, you should be wearing sunscreen every day and regularly checking for skin cancer. The FDA will also require sunscreen manufacturers to list sun protection factor (SPF) levels on their labels by law, so there will be no more guessing about how much protection you're getting. You should also wear a hat when outside, as well as a scarf if it's chilly out.
The FDA has warned against using any skin care product that promises an unrealistic result or contains ingredients not approved by the Food and Drug Administration or covered under over-the-counter monographs. Remember that everything in moderation is key to maintaining good health!

Check your medications
Keeping up with your medications can be difficult and confusing.
