Tulsi is a well-known herb in the mint family. Tulsi occupies a special place in Ayurveda and is also home to the Hindus of India. Hindus consider it sacred and worship it. Tulsi is used in many Indian customs. Used for puja and wreaths and specially planted in the courtyards of most Hindu houses in Kerala, Tulsi-Tara. Tulsi Puja is a holiday celebrated in every state of India except Kerala.

It has tremendous antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal properties that protect against a variety of infections.                                                  Add Tulsi leaves to a glass of water and drink in the morning on an empty stomach. You can bite that Tulsi leaf. This is a way to give your body a good immune system. Chewing two or three mint leaves regularly will boost your immune system. Prevents dizziness. It is rich in iron. It is also a good remedy for anemia. In case of insect bites, apply mint juice. A natural remedy for fever and colds. Boiling water with mint is good for sore throat. Stuffy nose, cold, and coffee steam with mint leaves. It helps to lower blood pressure.Tulasi cleanses the body and has a diuretic effect. Reduces uric acid levels in the body, a leading cause of kidney stones. Reducing uric acid levels can also give relief to patients suffering from gout.
                                                                Tulasi has antibacterial and antiviral properties that help fight infections and reduce fever. Fresh tulsi juice made from black peppercorns treats occasional fever. It is also effective to eat a mixture of tulsi leaves, sugar, and milk boiled in 0.5 liters of water with cardamom powder. Eugenol, an analgesic terpene found in tulsi, reduces pain in the body. Tulsi contains compounds called oxymumosides A and B. These compounds reduce stress and balance the neurotransmitters serotonin and dopamine in the brain. The anti-inflammatory properties of tulsi reduce inflammation and blood pressure. Consuming tulsi tea daily has a calming effect and helps reduce stress. According to Ayurveda, Tulsi helps reduce asthma symptoms due to its kappa balancing properties. Tulsi is also helpful in treating ringworm infections.

Tulsi may affect fertility in women trying to conceive. Some people experience nausea or diarrhea the first time they add tulsi tea to their diet, so it's best to start small and increase over time. Tulsi may lower blood sugar levels and should therefore be used with caution in diabetic patients taking antidiabetic medications. Holy basil is probably safe for short-term use.
