HAVE A LOOK AT WHAT SWIMSUIT STYLE WAS IN THE SPOTLIGHT THE YEAR YOU WERE BORN - PART -5

2009-2012

Futuristic cutouts and minimalistic shapes teamed up with streamlined colors was the tone back in those days. Miranda Kerr walks on a fashion show runway here where she has paired up the look with a long dangling robe styled into a shrug hanging from her shoulders. Scientific fiction vibes much?

2013-2015

The style from the 70s was back as Gigi made a fashion statement that set the trend for quite a few years. Crochet detailing, criss-cross designs, and low waist bottoms were back in style. The “less is more” approach was followed again, and multicolored schemes resurfaced in the fashion industry. Also, anything that Bella and Gigi Hadid, and Kendall Jenner wear always takes off.

Fashion is the art of creation, but time and again, throughout the years, we’ve seen fashion bring back the dead looks. Skinny jeans used to be the trend, but we see flared jeans from the 70s making a comeback. Scarves and headbands were long dead, but Gossip Girl brought back the style to life.

Time and again, Fashion has proved to be a cycle- new creations crop up every day, but the basic style that inspires it all stays the same. We may have a new trend set its foot every year, but you can rest assured that we’re never exiting the loop of low waists and high waists, solids and prints, or minimalism and glamorous.

Before you hit the beach, get some style inspiration from these summer 2015 swimsuit lines. From retro inspired one-pieces to modern bikini styles, these looks are heating up the season. Take a look at the best bathing suit trends from labels like Victoria’s Secret,

The runways were full of bright bikinis that make you want to book a vacation, stat, but there were some other trends, vibes, and stunts that made me sit up and pay attention. Let's pretend that we were hanging seaside this weekend too, shall we? The first thing I noticed: One-pieces aren't going anywhere. There were a ton at every show, and this one, from 6 Shore Road, was one of my favorites. Beyond one-pieces, there were long sleeves too! Similar to the rash-guard look that's gotten trendy recently, but these are full-on suits. How cute is this beachy one from CM Cia Maritima? Models of all body types walked the runways like this beauty at For Lorelai by Jankele. Among all the bikinis and suits were lots of chic cover-ups, including this dress by Caitlin Kelly, which looks every bit as polished as a normal frock. Too cool: A Mercedes car printed in one of Mara Hoffman's signature bright-bright prints! Tory Burch's beauties had a retro vibe going on in a floral pattern that echoed her spring 2014 runway.
