Goal Setting- How to Choose Right Goals

Now after we have chosen our goals- Short-term & Long-term, we need to choose from the infinite options.

This can only be done afterthoroug introspection, self-analysis & self-appraisal. We know ourselves better than anyone else in the world. Our Personality, our brought-up, the family background, education have a big role to play in setting our goals. 

There are Social, family, psychological, Ancestral, financial, Educational, generational & many other factors which control the goal selection process. Our own behaviour, mental set-up, educational background, past experiences - all are controlling factors.

 

~~~ EXAMPLE  ~~~

Imagine you have saved Rs 3 Lacs in this year & you are utterly confused as to what goal to accomplish. (first). 

You wish buy a car. At the same time you also want to buy yourself a House as you have been staying in a rented house for many years now & it is seemingly stagnating. You wish take admssion in an International University & work for a Multinational so need take up Coaching. Many more compelling thoughts cltedly-poinoud your brain but you struggle & pin

 

Let me explain to you that out of many goals, supopose you have short-listed 3 goals. Compare their advantages & disadvantages. After the process, decide your short-term goal (which should be Three to Five for ONE year timeline.

1. Buying a car.

2. Buying a House (write/think) advantages & disadvantages.

3. Taking up GRE Coaching to take admission in an International University(write/think advantages & disadvantages.
