We all use gas cylinder in our day today life for filling our hunger by preparing delicious food. So it's must to know about it .. so let us know who found this gas cylinder, what is it, how does it work and some other.

Who invented it???? --. The father of LPG is Dr.Walter O shelling.LPG was identified as a significant component of petroleum 1910.

What does gas cylinder mean???

A gras cylinder or tank is a pleasure vessel for storage and containment of gases at above atmospheric pressure. High pressure gas cylinder also called bottles.

How does gas cylinder work???

To boil, the liquid LPG  draws heat from the steel walls of the LPG gas cylinder (propane tank) which in turn works by getting heat from the ambient air.LPG liquid boils and turns back into gas vapour when you release since of the pressure in the gas bottle by turning on your gas appliances.

The gas filled in gas cylinder, cooking cylinder is liquified petroleum gas.It is prepared by refining petroleum and is entirely derived from fossil fuels.It is simply propane or butane and are flammable mixture of hydrocarbon gases.

Whats written on gas cylinder? What does it mean??? How to check expiry of gas cylinder??

It is an alphanumeric number that is A,B,C and D with number which denotes the quarter of the year.The number indicates month of the cylinder tested .. this is written on one of the stem of gas cylinder. Eg.D-06

A- stands for march 1st quarter

B- stands for June 2nd quarter

C- stands for September 3rd quarter

D-stands for December 4th quarter

So D-06 means December quarter of 2006.

So  like  able other items we can  check  expiry date of our cylinder also..
