Gautama Buddha gave sermons to his followers every day. People came from far and wide to hear his sermons. Gautama Buddha taught people to live humbly, simply and simply, freeing themselves from lust, attachment, greed, envy and pride. Every day a man came to hear Gautama Buddha speak.

He listened very carefully to every word of the Buddha and returned after the discourse was over. For a month he came to listen to the speeches of Mahatma Buddha. One day he was late for the sermon. When everyone had left, he went to the Buddha and said: "Tathagata! I have something to ask you." andquot;Ask!andquot; Buddha said.

Tathagata! I have been listening very carefully to your lectures every day for a month. I remember everything you said. But they don't affect my life. I'm starting to wonder if there's something wrong with me and why they don't affect me.

The Buddha asked and quoted: Brother! Where do you rent? andquot; The man answered, andquot;Shravasti!andquot; andquot;How far is Sravasti from there?andquot; When the person told him the distance, the Buddha asked andquot:How did you come here from Sravasti?andquot; andquot;Sometimes on foot, sometimes on horseback, sometimes on oxen.andquot; "Well, tell me if you can reach Sravasti sitting here."

How is that possible Tathagata! How can I come to Sravasti sitting here? I have to walk to get there. If you can't walk, you can get there by means of transport, such as an oxcart or a horse-drawn carriage. andquot;Told the truth!andquot; Buddha said: andquot;

To reach the goal we must walk.andquot; You cannot reach your destination without walking. Similarly, to achieve good things in life, you must strive for it. Just hearing about such things does not make them effective in life. You should act accordingly.
