Over time, the role of these social media options is rapidly increasing, which is closely associated with the availability of digital devices. Some argue that there is a significant association between the increasing trend of isolation and the internet. This creates a loophole for radicalization as well. Generally, radicalization is considered a process by which a person comes to hold up extremism in thoughts and actions. This could lead to destruction in nature

There is no doubt that the internet provides more opportunities for radicalization. It is also considered the most controversial topic during the last decade. Social media giants such as Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram are now considered primary facilitators supporting radicalization. They provide greater assistance not only to communicate and collaborate but also to convince their new members. The Internet also served as a “single-stop shop” by providing all the information to an extremist, which he may seek, to accelerate the radicalization process. Social media also proves itself as a “conveyer belt” to reinforce and illustrate the narrative of extremist groups or individuals to their targeted audience. In a study conducted by Gabriel Weimann from the university of Haifa, his findings conclude that 90% of radicalized activities use social media. Whereas, Politico-religious extremism elaborates the radicalization in the political or religious domain. Single issue extremism also has a significant impact on society. Whatever the type of radicalization is, you will find the direct inducement of electronic devices and social media platforms to support their narrative. Social media not only provide them the benefit of availability 24/7, but it is also an inexpensive tool to cater greater audience without any physical contact. Social media not only accelerate the radicalization process. but, it also serves as an electronic echo chamber to create a high impact for these extremist groups. Where chances of self-radicalization increase. Osama Bin Laden’s audio and video tapes can be used as a piece of evidence to support the statement that yes social media platforms do help to spread radicalization.

They should create public awareness about this sensitive issue. So, that we could save our generations from this technological catastrophe.
