How is Wall-E a movie about nature

Film  is  an  important  visual  art  form  that  presents  a universal  power of  communication.

WALL-E, the American computer animated science fiction film produced by Pixar Animation studios for Walt Disney Pictures in 2008, deals with the themes of eco-criticism combined with ideas about future earth and technology. The movie portraits about the  ecological cycle of destruction on a global level, pointing it as a planetary issue.

The movie starts by revealing the 29th century Earth, which is a wasteland by the extreme toxic pollution done by human beings. WALL- E, Waste Allocation Load Lifter (Earth Class), the  only remaining functional robot  left by BNL mega corporation for cleaning up the Earth and WALL-E's pet cockroach, inhibits the planet. The robot's  daily routine of work is distracted  by EVE, Extra terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator, a robot  send to Earth  for scanning  the planet  for plant life. EVE, after  finding the only  plant on  Earth  which  was kept  by WALL-E, returns to the probe to get it to the Axiom, the mothership  which send EVE  for searching  Earth. The Axiom was produced by BNL  corporation  as a vacation cruiser to carry humans from depleting  Earth to space until plant life reoccurs in the planet. WALL-E who had been following EVE in Earth also follows her to Axiom due to his growing  concern and affection towards the robot, and reaches the Axiom. The ship reveals about the corporatism and consumption based society at its peak  with the help of technology. WALL- E is able to view humans behaving like robots and robots that tend to behave like humans as a result of absence of culture or nature. The plant goes missing on the way to captain's headquarters  that results in considering  EVE as faulty and is sent for diagnosis, while WALL- E misunderstands that EVE is under attack and tries to rescue her. This only brings more troubles far ahead like freeing other captive robots and  many law obstructions in the Axiom while EVE tries to help WALL-E to safety. Both the robots tries to hand over the plant  to captain of the ship, while  the automatic assistant Auto refuses to turn the  ship to Earth by showing an order from the BNL authorities of 2110 that says  of issuing a Never  return command as the  planet couldn’t  be recovered and  thus granting  Auto all the powers of  the ship. The captain, with WALL-E, EVE and all other robots and humans in the ship, tries to overpower Auto and return to Earth. They  achieve  success by  shutting off  Auto  and the  ship returns  to the home  planet  under captain's order. WALL-E who had been crushed while struggling against Auto, is repaired by EVE when reached on Earth, and they unite while the immigrants  tries to rediscover  the plant life in the planet and  succeeds  in it. Thus, the film speaks  about a  subjective  plot  consisting  of  real  environmental problems and  matters  concerning  ecological  depletion  as the  theme.

WALL- E is able to view humans behaving like robots and robots that tend to behave like humans as a result of absence of culture or nature. The movie depicts human as the reason for the environmental destruction in Earth that eventually resulted in migration or space exile. According to it, the apocalyptic content of the movie qualifies it more under the label of Eco criticism. WALL-E  shows that by the time of 29th century or earlier, all  controls over  the planet  was transferred  to robots, thus  the human  authority becoming obscure  and  robots  gradually  taking  over the control. WALL-E is able  to survive  only  by evolving  by repairing itself by the  parts of  other robots  which has  stopped  working. This indicates the very cycle of natural order that the evolving and the fittest can only survive in the world. Even in the presence or absence of nature.

On 2008, Disney and Pixar combined released Wall-E which the IMDb pundits awarded with a score of 94/100^.
