DOWRY IS A CURSE. First, we should discuss the dowry. Dowry is a type of every day uses items that are given to an unmarried girl for her daily surviving. Somehow it is a dam difficult for that person who runs his financial life hand to mouth. And that is a big reason why a girl remains unmarried until she becomes old. Because somehow that is a demand from a boy's family. For completing these terms & condition, a person (father or brother) have to arrange all these at any cost and this has become culture and custom. This is sometimes done or dies situation for a father and brother.
There are cruelty and brutality also comes into seen. When a girl is not given dowry, the in-laws do the injustice to her and become so fierce. Taunting of not having dowry is another way of disturbing her life. Her every work of doing is considered to be fishy. She becomes tired of facing these entire situations. And her in-laws continuously ask her for more and more.
What measures should be taken?
First of all, people think about this matter on a humanitarian basis. A girl has a social life and she has all the right to survive happily. So why is that people make her life miserable because she doesn't bring with her list of dowry's items. Shame on ourselves. We always think that if we are demanding dowry from a girl who is not eligible to provide. Someone can also demand dowry from us for our sisters and daughters.
we have to condemn all these happening around us. And we should make marriages easy so that society becomes a symbol of love, peace, and brotherhood.
