Doctors, Nursing homes, Hospitals are everywhere. When a person is feeling sick he/she will definitely consult a doctor. We treat doctors as God. Some doctors and Nurshing homes are using this faith to empty our life savings. This is very bad.
They are the doctors who will make you pay for different type of tests even if you are down with simple fever cause a pathology test centre gives a doctor huge commission for one recommendation. These doctors need money from the pharma company also and the pharma company adds all the expenses to cost of production of a medicine. These increase the price of the medicine.
These doctor even get training. What training let me tell you. The training of scaring patients. First scare the patient, patient will automatically gives money.They can't be God as they are selfish and only knows to take benefit of our obligations.
Private hospitals, I can't take any names, they hold sales review meeting.The owner of the hospitals give promotions on the number of admissions, operations, lab tests, extra stay etc. They give targets to the doctors. Just imagine what a circus is going on.
I am not talking only about unethical practices. There are some Doctors who are really a God and thinks about the human being.
Dr. Devi Shetty got Padmashree, who founded 23 hospitals, 7 heart centers all over India, first person to introduce assembly line in heart surgery. His motto was simple, Increase the speed of surgery to increase the number and through that increase the income. He earned around 170 crores in last 3 years.
Govindappa Venkataswami founder of Aravind eyecare Hospital, mortgages his home to found the hospital. It reduces the price of eye surgery and costs around 750 rupees.
Tata memorial hospital, a hospital which has two different segment. One is general care where treatment is free and the other one is bit premium. They earn money from the rich to treat poors.
So at last I will say beware of the leeches who will suck out your life savings and try to focus on your health more to be safe.
