Education is essential for national progress. It is the bedrock of national development. It helps in social, economic, and political advancement and is the governing factor of human capital. Educated "Human Factor" plays a crucial role in all-round national progress. The Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (Salal-Laho-Alaihy-Wa-Aalehi-Wassalam) said, "Acquiring of Education is obligatory for all the Muslim men and women."
EDUCATION IS IMPORTANT
Education is dispensable for both males and females(adults), and boys and girls mothers' lap is regarded as the first school by educationists and sociologists worldwide. "The hand that rocks the cradle rules over the world."
Educated mothers can educate and train their offspring to become big men in the future and leaders of society. Women are the lights of the homes. If they are educated, they can convey and communicate it where ever they go.
THREE MAIN COGS
There are three cogs in the machinery of education, they are:
1. The teachers.
2. The students.
3. The syllabus.
Teaching is a social job of society and a primary responsibility of every government. In short, it is a people's job. The teachers have to deal with the students and build the personalities and future of the latter in all walks of life. Teachers are like mental parents; they play a crucial role in shaping the characters and polishing the raw talents of their students. They prepare the students to fight the battle of life.
WHAT SHOULD STUDENTS DO?
Students should respect and obey their teachers and carefully listen to their teachers/ lecturers, understand the subject matters, and learn them. They should not put off their study of lessons for tomorrow.
WHAT SHOULD TEACHERS DO?
The teachers should be masters of their subjects and well aware of the syllabi. They should try to complete it systematically within the academic year in an exciting manner. They should never arouse provincialism, bilingualism, racialism, and their own political, personal 'thoughts.' They should regard the students as their children and behave kindly with them. Still, theyy should keep a reasonable distance from the students and should not become too much freedom with them. They should adhere to the principle to "pay respect and get respect." Nowadays, the students are brainwashed by the political pressure groups armed with Kalashnikov and other weapons. Hence, it is better in their interest that the teachers not unnecessarily mix with students or try to make them leave the Kalashnikov culture.
God knows better when the student-teacher relationship will normalize, especially in Karachi where Islami Jamiat Talba (Jamat Islami), Punjabi students Union, Mohajir students Union, Pakistan students Union, etc., armed gangs of rowdy boisterous students brainwashed by their political bosses.
EDUCATION
There are cadres in educational institutions, viz schools, colleges, and universities. Schools are the nurseries of the nation. It is at school, where the students have their seeds of character sowed. The teachers turn every stone to infuse readiness and interest for learning among the students. They teach them systematically, listening, reading, and writing. Teachers serve as guides and leaders—some ideals for the students, who become solely dependent on teachers. In colleges, students come across their lecturers and professors. Unfortunately, for the reasons already mentioned, they pay less respect to their lecturers, especially in all the colleges and also universities (especially of Karachi University).
The state of affairs is not so bad in the universities and colleges of other provinces of Pakistan, where lecturers and professors are successfully helping the students to build up their personalities. The students are the citizens of the future of our country, so they must possess sound health and wealth of knowledge and be persons having high moral characters. They can help the country to the zenith of its glory and to build the national economy.
According to Cary S Backer ( the 1992 Nobel prize winner), the productivity of modern economics depends on the investment in acquiring knowledge and skills.
PEOPLE WHO WORK HARD
Economists, however, disagree that human resources are more critical for developing the national economy, and they attach more significant importance to the formation of capital. But their arguments are belied because the countries of China, Germany, and Japan have made admirable progress because of the skillful workforce and people who worked hard round the clock, built their national economics and made their nations rich and advanced in the world.
