Do You Have a Healthy Personality?
Understanding yourself is the first step in developing your personality. Consider the qualities you admire in yourself and what you want to change. Decide which of your positive personality traits best supports your courage, receptivity, persistence, kindness, and humility. On the other hand, it's crucial to understand which characteristics won't help you achieve your goals. Ultimately, each person has a unique personality, and there is no one way to be happier or more attractive. Knowing yourself better will enable you to express your best qualities. In a 2019 study, college students and psychologists rated personality traits according to how healthy they thought they were. The answers from the experts and the students were surprisingly similar, but the authors used the responses from the professionals to make an "expert-generated healthy prototype." The characteristics of a healthy personality were determined to be the following: Straightforwardness Warmth sensitivity to emotions Competence positive feelings minimal depression minimal impulsivity vulnerability to low stress and Low hostility or anger. The "healthy prototype" had many of what people thought were healthy traits associated with narcissism, like being brave and willing to try new things. Still, it was also low in selfishness. This is a decent list; it at least gives us an idea of the character traits we want to cultivate to live healthier, happier, and perhaps more fruitful lives. Promoting an inner compass:
Givens in Humans, The "inner guidance system" is what psychology refers to as the area of a person that tries to satisfy their emotional and physical needs. We naturally try to find ways to meet our needs, but this is harder to do when our way of knowing what to do is broken.

So how could this navigation system be made vulnerable?;
For example, a person with autism is probably less able to meet their attention needs than others. When someone has been through a lot of trauma, they can't meet their needs for connection with other people or a sense of safety. If someone with poor impulse control can't move up in their career because they can't focus, it might be difficult for them to meet their need for status. When we can't healthily satisfy our needs, we might try to meet them through unhealthy habits that hurt us and others. When a client doesn't feel safe, they may drink to dull the pain of not being able to meet that crucial need. People who struggle to control their behaviors enough to attract attention for good reasons may use cheap tricks as a temporary attention-seeking tactic, and so on. Please take note of something, however. The best personality traits let a person meet all of their basic emotional needs in a balanced way. Individuals with these traits are more likely to be confident, calm, and focused, to connect with others, to work toward goals, to feel happy and relaxed most of the time, and, ultimately, to be more involved in life.
Also, people with these traits are more likely to be kind to others, which strengthens their relationships and, I guess, helps them become more popular and fit in with their communities. A "healthy personality index" was made by comparing the personality profiles of more than 3,000 people to a model of a healthy person made by experts. Indeed, it was discovered that: "People who scored highly on the balanced personality chart were psychologically well-adjusted, had high self-esteem, good self-control, an upbeat outlook on the world, and a stable self-image." In addition, these people tended to be less aggressive and mean, less likely to take advantage of others, and more resilient to stress. Personal growth, overcomes inner demons: Mark, it's some of the characteristics on that list, which is idealistic. Others, though, not so much, in good taste, too! Few people will display all those characteristics. But we should remember that these traits are linked to a strength that is good for meeting emotional needs. If so, we can help our clients develop these traits to live happier, more productive lives. Of course, we only want to transform someone's personality completely; we want to encourage them to grow in some of these areas as much as possible. We help people have better mental health now and in the future by teaching them skills that help positive personality traits grow and stay stable. As a result, the demons have been permanently expelled. When we can support someone in this way, they are better equipped to balance and sustainably meet their own needs as well as the needs of others.
