LISTEN TO AN IMAGINARY CONVERSATION:
SCENE 1:
(Dressing room of Pallam stadium. Dhoni, tired from the ground, was sitting on a chair. A boy who was selling soft drinks to others rushed to Dhoni happily. Thirsty, Dhoni bought soft drinks from him and drank them in a hurry. Finishing the bottle, Dhoni searched his pocket for money and found it empty. It was when Sachin Tendulkar entered with his bag.
Dhoni: [facing Sachin ] Bhaya! Come here…
(Sachin went near him. Dhoni took money from Sachin's pocket and paid to that boy. Loud laughter in the dressing room.)
Sachin:[ playfully ]Hey, Dhoni! What nuisance is this?!?
Dhoni: [ Laughing ]cool down, Master blaster! I will pay through Google pay to your number.
Sachin: what are you talking about, man? I have only Paytm with me!
Dhoni: Then sorry. No, google pay, then no money.
Sachin: That's not fair!
(Everyone burst into laughter. It was when Kohli went near them.)
Kohli: Hello legends! Stop quarreling like this and share your UPI ID!

Most of you reading this blog would be using any payment apps like Google pay, Paytm, Phone Pe is just a beautiful collection of words describing the journey of a young woman (The poet herselfy, etc. But how many of you know that we all have a UPI ID?
FIRST OF ALL…WHAT IS UPI ID?
UPI (Unified payment interface) is free of cost service run by the Indian government, which helps us pay from one payment app to another. (That is, from Google pay to Paytm number or from Phone pe to Google pay, etc.) That is why I told you initially that if you're someone using Google pay, Phone pe or Paytm, I bet you that you have a UPI ID!
But how can we make use of it? Let's see.
To make use of our UPI ID, you should do two things:
Find your UPI ID.
Know how to make transactions.
FINDING YOUR UPI ID
It's easy and essential to find our UPI ID. In each of the payment apps, the place where the UPI ID is displayed is different. So, I would like to talk about finding your UPI ID in the three major apps used by Indians, i.e., Google pay, Phonepay, and Paytm.
UPI ID IN GOOGLE PAY
Open your Google pay app. Go to the settings. There, you can find your UPI ID generated by the app. Most probably, it would be a code made with your email ID, something like that. Copy it by long-pressing the text and send it to the person who wants to send you money from any payment apps other than Google pay.
UPI ID IN PHONE Pe
It is simple to find your UPI ID in Phone pe. Open the app and find the symbol 'my UPI ID.' Click on that to find your UPI ID( for example, 9486725509@phone pe), which you can copy and share with anyone who wants to send you money from a payment app other than Phone pay.
UPI ID IN PAYTM
To find your Paytm UPI ID, click on the option to make UPI payments. Find the settings icon on the right-top corner. You can immediately see your UPI ID (for example, 9486725509@paytm) generated by Paytm, together with an option to copy it to your clipboard. Copy that ID and send it to any person who wants to send you money from any payment app other than Paytm.
Other than these payment apps, some banks like SBI and Federal bank also provide UPI ID to their account holders through the bank's app. However, all the UPI IDs have the same use.
Before winding up this blog, I would like to highlight some features, why you should rely on UPI ID:
Make/receive payments digitally, irrespective of the app you have on your phone.
It is safe as it is a government-supported system.
It is free of cost.
