In today's time, most of the people stay awake till late night to do their work or watch movies. Staying up late at night and waking up late in the morning has become a fashion these days and most of the people have started considering it as a part of modern lifestyle. Whereas in reality staying up late at night or working in night shift is very harmful for health. It affects both your physical and mental health. A recent research has revealed surprising results related to staying awake till late at night.
According to research, people who stay up late at night are 10% more likely to die than people who wake up early in the morning. About 50 thousand people were involved in this research by researchers from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine. A database of the weight, smoking habit, socio-economic status of the people involved in the research was prepared and a list of deaths was prepared during these six and a half years. On this basis it was concluded that people who stay awake till late at night live less.
Experts claim that people who stay awake late at night can die 6.5 years ahead of time. People who sleep early in the night and wake up early in the morning are closer to nature, this is the root cause of their good health. Malcolm van Schantz, a researcher at the University of Surrey in England and co-author of the report, says that this is a serious issue related to people's health and it can no longer be ignored.
"Night-wake people also have more physical problems," said researcher Kristen Kuntson from Northwestern University in Chicago and co-author of the report. Waking up late at night worsens the metabolism of the body, which increases the chances of diabetes and many types of stomach related diseases. Such people also start consuming more cigarettes and alcohol. According to the research team, the risk of death in people who wake up late at night is also higher because the biological clock of the body does not match with its surrounding environment due to waking up late in the morning. In earlier times people used to wake and sleep according to sunrise and sunset and by doing so they lived closer to nature and lived longer.
If you also want to live a long life, then include some good habits in your lifestyle. Keep yourself completely away from mental stress as it is the main cause of insomnia. Apart from this, get up daily in the morning and exercise early in the night and go to bed early. Getting enough sleep is very important for good health.
