1.Origin of Olympics

So let me tell you, The first Olympic Games took place in Greece nearly three thousand years ago in 776 BC. In honor of Zeus, there were athletic Competitions.

These games were played every four years, and during the take, there was an Olympics Truce. When wars and battles were not allowed, athletes from different cities could travel safely to and from the games.

Originally Olympics games only had one event, 'A Short Face. But many years passed, and events were added with the changing of time.

The main thing about Ancient Olympics was that only men were allowed to compete in the events. The final games of the Ancient Olympics were held in 393 AB, ending a tradition of over 1000 years.

2.International Olympic Committee

No one tried to hold the Olympics again till Fifteen Hundred Years. Then small events were modeled after the Ancient Olympics in various places in Europe off and on for over a hundred years until the "International Olympics Committee" was created in 1894 by Baron Pierre de Coubertin of France.

In 1896 the first game was organized by the International Olympics Committee took place in Athens, Greece. There were 241 athletes from 14 Countries.

Since that small beginning, many things have changed, and that's the origin of our big sport event Olympics.

3.Parallel Olympics

Parallel Olympics, which is well known by 'Paralympics,' began to be held for athletes with disabilities.

Then the teenagers from 14 to 18 age got chance to compete in Olympics a few years ago.

4.Difference Between Modern Olympics and Ancient Olympics

1.In ancient times, Olympics were held in the same place each time, while the modern Olympics are held in different cities of the world.

2.In ancient Olympics, Winners were awarded Olive branches, while in the Modern Olympics, athletes receive medals.

These medals are of three categories.

Gold medal - The person who holds the first position

Silver medal - The person who holds the second position

Bronze medal - The person who holds the third position

5.Symbols of Olympics

1. Five Ring Symbol:- The symbol of the Olympics consists of five rings of different colors, blue, yellow, green, black, and red, on white background. These colors were chosen because every flag in the world at the time had atleast one of those colors on it.

This ring represents each one of the inhabited continents of the world in which North America and South America are counted as one.

2.Olympic Flame or Torch:- This symbol was a reminder of ancient Greek mythology when Prometheus stole fire from the God Zeus to give it to Humans. Before each Olympics, the torch is lit at a special ceremony at the site of the ancient Olympics in Olympia, Greece.

During the Opening ceremonies of the games, the huge Cauldron is lighted with the help of a torch. When the Olympics finally ends, this Huge Cauldron flames out. And it remains burning until the last day of the Olympics. Finally, out.

What's The Goal Of the Olympics??

1.Goal of the Olympics is to help build a peaceful world through international co-operation, friendship, and the love of the games.

2.The most important thing about these games is not just to win, but it's important to take part just as the most important thing in one life is a struggle, not success.

Win or Lose doesn't matter. 3. It's not only about winning or lose the game, but it's all about you fought well. And you have given your 100% effort.
