A teenager drowned while bathing in a river near Periyambatti.

Silambarasan (age 19) is the son of Sivalingam of Pethanur village near Karimangalam. He studied till class 10 and came from home. The person who took the goats saying that he was grazing the goats yesterday evening did not return home until the evening, and since he did
not return for a long time, the relatives searched for the places where the goats had gone to graze.
At that time only goats were grazing near the Phulapatti river next to Periyambatti. Later, when he went to the river, he found Silambarasan floating dead. The matter was immediately informed to the Karimangalam police.
Investigation
Accordingly, the police went to the spot and seized Silambarasan's body and sent it to Dharmapuri Government Medical College Hospital for post-mortem examination. Police investigation has revealed that he may have drowned while taking a bath in the river as he did not know how to swim.
The police have registered a case and are investigating the incident. The incident of a teenager drowning while going for a bath in the river has caused tragedy in the area.
