Delhi Budget 2025: CM Rekha Gupta allocates ₹5,100 crore for Mahila Samriddhi Yojana | How to apply

Delhi Chief Minister rake Gupta has allocated ₹5,100 core for the Manila Samriddhi Yojana in the state Budget. The scheme will provide ₹2,500 per month to eligible women, aiming to offer financial independence.

Delhi CM and Finance Minister rake Gupta presented the Budget for 2025-26 with an outlay of ₹1 lake core, a 31.5% increase from the previous year.

She called it a "historic Budget" and declared that the era of "corruption and inefficiency" was over.

The government has doubled capital expenditure to ₹28,000 core, focusing on infrastructure, including roads, sewer systems, and water supply.

About Mahila Samriddhi Yojana

The scheme targets women from economically weaker sections (E's). The Delhi government will transfer the financial assistance directly to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer .

Eligibility criteria

Must be a woman citizen of India.

 

  • Permanent resident of Delhi
  • Age between 21 to 60 years.

 

  • Annual family income must be below ₹3 lake.

 

  • Must not be availing benefits from any other government scheme.

 

  • Should not be a government employee. 

 Who is not eligible?

 

  • Women who are financially well-off.

 

  • Those who pay income tax.

 

  • Government employees or those with a government employee in their family.

 

Required documents

  • Aadhaar Card for identity verification.

 

  • Voter ID card as proof of residence.

 

  •  Below Poverty Line card.

 

  • Income certificate.

 

  • Residence proof.

 

Applications with missing documents may face rejection.
