TOP Deep Sea Discoveries that will leave you SPEECHLESS

Be it thousands of years old underwater cities, or strange creatures. Be it underwater, river phenomena or treasure found from the bottom of the sea. Be it oceans, rivers or lakes. There are a lot of mysteries underwater, and for many centuries these mysteries have puzzled mankind. The number of Ocean mysteries are increasing as the technology is progressing. And also we are getting success in solving many mysteries. Viewers, big waves occur with earthquakes or volcanic eruptions in the sea. These waves are called tsunamis. Which can engulf entire cities near the coastline.

 Tonga volcano:-

There is an underwater volcano 65 km away from the coast of Nuke'ALFA, the capital of Tonga, which is called Tonga volcano. In January 2022, a big tsunami wave occurred when this volcano erupted. Which reached the coast within 20 minutes. Its magnitude was so strong that even the tremors were felt in New Zealand. When the Tonga volcano was further analyzed using the satellite footage, experts were awestruck to see that its magnitude was 100 times more powerful than the atomic explosion of Hiroshima.

So this was all about the tsunami occurring due to the eruption of an underwater volcano. But recently more creatures and strange phenomena have been spotted under the sea, although they are not dangerous like tsunamis, but they are no less spooky.

  So let's begin.

1- Ship Computer

The seabed is the home to millions of shipwrecks. Many of them are still not found, because they're now laying so deep that it is impossible for humans to reach there. But with the passage of time, utilizing new diving technologies, we are increasingly successful in finding more and more shipwrecks. In the year 1901, deep-sea divers found a shipwreck near Greek Island Antithetical. Things that they found from the wreck had transformed our concept of human history. A box was present in that wreck which contained marble statues, vases, jewelry, ancient coins and a rusted piece of metal. Everything was making sense, but this insignificant metal piece was quite peculiar. When it was examined further. The reality gradually unfolded. Seeing the statues and writings, it was believed that it sank during the Ancient Greece period. But experts and researchers were astonished to see this piece of iron was not an ordinary thing. Rather, it was a computer for ancient Greeks. It contained many gears, which had a lot of teeth that were made with great details. Let me tell you that even at present, despite using modern machinery, making such gears requires great skill. The ancient computer helped sailors with the position of the moon and stars during their voyage. And it also predicted the moon's position for future dates. Now, you may ask why it was necessary for the sailor to predict the moon's position? Actually, due to the gravitational pull of the moon, tidal waves are generated in the sea. Captains find it difficult to control the ship amid such waves. Therefore, they wanted to continue their journey when the moon was not over the sea. This was the reason why ancient Greeks used a special mechanical computer.

2- Chu Lagoon

This portion of the sea is 1800 km away from the Australian island of New Guinea is hiding some bitter memories of history. This portion of sea is known as Chu Lagoon,  where debris of numerous fighter jets, ships, tanks, trucks and artillery shells are laying on the bottom. Seeing all this, deep-sea divers remember that day of WWII when America began the operation hailstorm. In which it destroyed Japan's 40 warships, 2 light cruisers, 4 destroyer ships, 9 auxiliary ships, more than 24 cargo vessels, and 250 aircraft. Even today, Chu Lagoon is known as an underwater graveyard. Where thousands of lives were lost to the sea.

3- Maxwell Bay

This yacht, present underneath Antarctica's ice, sank during a film shoot in the stormy waves. In the Maxwell Bay Area of Antarctica, a Brazilian journalist was passing by an iceberg with 4 film crew in this yacht for the purpose of shooting a documentary for a film. Then the voyage was interrupted by stormy waves. The intensity of the storm was so strong that their yacht couldn't withstand it. And it gradually sank into the sea. For one year, this yacht remained stuck under the ice. After one year, when it was recovered, its condition was so poor that it was not possible to repair.

4- English Channel

A team of researchers went to research in the English Channel between Europe and England. Several feet below the sea surface, they found a piece of land where the roots of the trees are still connected to the land. This scenario is mind-boggling because no tree can grow inside the sea. This indicates that this portion of seabed was once a part of land that used to connect present-day Europe and England. After more research it was found out that 8000 years ago this land bridge sank underwater due to unknown reasons.

5- Cenote Angelita

In the Yucatán Peninsula of Mexico there is a natural water reservoir which is called Cenote Angelita. Its specialty is that, after going at a depth of 55 m a river is present which flows underwater. To behold this extraordinary sight every day many divers go there because it is really an extraordinary experience to see an underwater river. But how is it possible? According to ocean experts, basically it is a limestone cave where ocean water comes here after flowing under the land and creeks. As the ocean's saltwater is heavy, it doesn't mix with the water present in the cave. And remains at the bottom of the cave due to its weight. This cloud of hydrogen sulfide gives an effect of a river flowing underwater.

6- Bimini road

Just 6 m below the ocean surface in the Bahamas, a path made of round stones can be seen which goes towards an unknown location. This 1 km long path near the Bimini Island under the sea is known as Bimini road. When this path was discovered in 1930. A lot of theories started popping up. Few people believe that it is a natural rock formation, and few believe that pharaohs of ancient Egyptians had made this path to go to the submerged Atlantic City. This is the reason this mysterious rock formation or Bimini Road is so popular.

7- Britain's Stonehenge

At the bottom of the Huron Lake in Michigan, there is a rock structure which has now become disassembled. But experts believe that when it was in good condition, it used to look like Britain's Stonehenge. Regarding this, 9000 years old stone structure found at a depth of 120 feet, experts believe that it used to be a dry-land. Thousands of years ago, ancient hunters used a technique to catch a special animal named caribou. This mysterious Stonehenge shows us a glimpse of how ancient humans used to feed themselves.

8- Bioluminescence

On many sea-fronts in the world, this kind of blue light can be seen at night. Which is called bioluminescence. This light looks pretty awesome, and it is emitted by the bacteria present in the water. There are many creatures in the sea which produce light due to chemical reactions. This light is so feeble that it can only be seen at night. Experts believe that these light producing bacterial can harm humans and other fishes.
