WHAT ARE THE DEADLY MISTAKES IN AFFILIATE MARKETING

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make money, but it may not be as easy as it sounds. Too many affiliate marketers actually make big mistakes that cost them time, money, and can even permanently damage their reputation.

Fortunately, once you spot these killer mistakes, they're quite easy to fix, so you can stop making them in your own affiliate marketing campaigns.

If you're wondering why your affiliate marketing campaigns aren't as effective as you'd hoped, you may be making one or more of these deadly mistakes that could seriously derail your efforts.

In this guide, you will learn about the most common mistakes affiliate marketers make (even some very experienced marketers make them) You will also learn how to avoid these mistakes yourself and how to avoid repeating the same mistakes, mistakes over and over as many people seem to do it.

Mistake #1 – Focusing On Selling

We understand that the primary goal of affiliate marketing is to generate sales, at least for the marketers themselves. That much is clear, but never focus on "selling". Instead, your main focus should be helping people. Regardless of the market, the focus should be on helping the market in some way. Because that's how you add value to your affiliate offering and get the audience in that market to buy with confidence.

Whatever the market, our primary goal is to help people.
Weight loss? You help people get in shape and get healthy.

Internet marketing? You help people make money and achieve financial freedom.

Always focus on helping your target customer. This will help you build trust with the person you want to sell to, make your job easier, and give you a reason to feel better about yourself.

Mistake #2 – Not Testing

Why are tests so important in the first place?

Let's say you achieve a conversion rate of 2.5%. Not bad, you might think. After all, there is a fair amount of   competition, and it cannot be said that it stands out in the market.

But what if adding a single word to your squeeze page or changing a single photo on your blog's main page increased your conversion rate to 5%?

2.5% higher doesn't seem like a big difference until you realize you are doubling your conversion rate, doubling your customers, and doubling your revenue. Isn't it worth it?

The problem is that you can't know what makes a difference without testing.

Mistake #3 – Sticking With MMO Products

MMOs or Make Money Online are one of the most profitable markets, but it would be a mistake to focus on just one market. Did you know that even the biggest internet marketing professionals are expanding into other markets?. You may eventually reach virtually the entire market, but with less revenue because there is nothing new to sell and no way to create new value.

Sure, that's an extreme example. The fact is that there is no absolute upper limit to the market, as new customers are constantly being created and growing. But think about it. When you hit a plateau, your income stagnates. But if you diversify and enter other markets, there will always be fresh products to promote. We always provide new added value. You can always make money because you are not categorized into a specific market. You might want to start in the MMO niche. Because it can be very lucrative, and you can learn a lot about it yourself. Experiment with niches where you can add more.

Mistake #4 – Spreading Yourself Too Thin

Especially for new affiliate marketers, there is a temptation to spread too thin by going into too many markets. Perhaps he will buy 50 domains at once, or in a week he will set up blogs in 13 different niches. But that's stupid. Focus on one or two important niches at a time, and once you've made real progress in those niches, you need to diversify. If you can't hire someone to manage multiple blogs, multiple products, multiple mailing lists, multiple social media pages, and accounts, you're doing yourself a disservice by diversifying too much to begin with. Pick two or three markets first, make real progress in those first niches, then move on to diversity. With decent traffic, a small growing mailing list, and a social media presence that makes a difference, you can consider trying a new niche.

Mistake #5 – Joining Too Many Affiliate Programs

Another big temptation for affiliate marketers is to join too many affiliate programs because they don't know which one will be the most profitable. Well, let me tell you a little secret. They are all beneficial to you. Believe me, As long as you stick to legit affiliate programs of well-known companies, you will most likely get good results. There's a reason their affiliate program is so popular. Choose two or three starter niches and find two to three affiliate programs for each niche. Find at least one very hot product in each affiliate program that you think is converting well in your niche, then stick to promoting that product for a while before trying something new. If you join many affiliate programs at the same time, you will find that it takes a long time to reach the minimum payout required by each affiliate program. It's insanity! It is much better to sell 3 different products through one affiliate program than to sell 50 products through 35 different affiliate programs.

Mistake #6 – Not Tracking Results

When you start seeing a lot of sales, you quickly wonder which marketing efforts are the most productive. Of course, we want to focus more on the methods we use to make the most money. But what if you don't know which areas to focus on because you don't know which methods will work?

 Please enter tracking.

Tracking makes it easy to see where your traffic is coming from and where it's going. Easy tracking is as easy as using a tracking code in your affiliate program. For example, you can create a unique tracking ID for each website you own in the Amazon Affiliate Network. Or, if you're promoting a product through ClickBank, you can add a custom code word to your affiliate link to track where each sale you advertise comes from. You can also use your own affiliate tracking script to find out more. This will give you more detailed information about clicks and sales. This is advanced stuff, and you might not need it right away. However, you definitely need some kind of tracking, so you can determine which method works best.

Mistake #7 – Competition Fear

Many people cling to the “easy achievements” because they were told this was what they should do as a beginner. Or because they fear they will never be able to compete with millions of other websites. You can compete in any field! I know complete beginners who were able to quickly carve out super-hard niches like MMOs and weight loss. Is it likely? Of course not. Could you? Decisive.

I wouldn't recommend new affiliate marketers to tackle these very difficult niches right away. There is less competition because there is no money. Trust me, there are no more undiscovered or undeveloped niches. It may have been a few years ago, but this ship set sail. If it makes money, it's already made someone money. There are probably many people. Don't be afraid of competition, be careful, they want competition.

Mistake #8 – Giving Up Too Early

If I could give a dollar to people who gave up trying to make money online, I would be a millionaire today. The internet is littered with blogs where he has only one or two posts, and his accounts with affiliates who don't send the first recommendation.

What are the common reasons for quitting?

• Not making money quickly.
• Not getting traffic quickly.
• Not being accepted by many affiliate networks.
• Feeling annoying.
• Think Affiliate Marketing Is a Scam or Fraud.

One thing they have in common is that things happen overnight. Affiliate marketing is not a scam just because you didn't make $10,000 or $1,000 in your first month. Don't expect to get 100,000 page views per month with a brand-new domain with no backlinks anytime soon. These take time. If you give up too easily, you won't know what happened. I don't know if I can be the next internet millionaire, but I never know if I'll give up before it happens

Mistake #9 – Ignoring Competition

It's important not to be afraid of competition, but it's also important to be smart, expecting to make a fortune overnight in a highly competitive niche, like weight loss, is a surefire recipe for disappointment.

The first thing you need to do is target your next niche, That's it.

1. There is a healthy amount of competition.

2. There is not so much competition that it is difficult to get traffic.

3. Specifically, I have an interest in or knowledge of.

If you have zero interest or knowledge of your niche, it will be harder to create content, harder to relate to your target market, harder to sell products you know little or nothing about, and harder to get traffic.

Do you have to be an expert to conquer the market? Absolutely not, In fact, you could probably do well in a niche you know nothing about.

But it's much easier to give up if you're completely uninterested in the subject. A day's work is so tiring and frustrating that you throw your hands up, turn on the TV, or go to the lake, so you just get bored, so how do you choose your first niche.?

Create a list of topics of interest. I think 10-20 topics should be enough to start with.

• Affiliate products to promote.
• Appropriate amount of competition.
• Available resources to learn from.
• Available traffic sources.

As far as competition goes, what you want a niche with at least 50,000 existing websites look for A few million is no big deal. 50 million people can do it if they don't have the money to pay for their first promotion. A Google search will tell you how many pages mention your topic. I am looking for quoted multi-word phrases to get an exact count.

When I searched for golf, approximately 1.31 billion records came up. Oops, over a billion, searching for gluten-free yields about 85,100,000 results. Better, but still quite large. Approximately 424,000 results were obtained for the noodle factory. It definitely makes more sense.

Don't be afraid to compete, be sensible.

Work hard, keep at it, avoid these mistakes, and you will definitely start making money.
