The first known transaction involving Bitcoin took place on May 22, 2010, when a programmer named Laszlo Hanyecz exchanged 10,000 bitcoins for two pizzas, which would value each bitcoin at around $0.003.

As of my knowledge cutoff date of September 2021, the price of Bitcoin had reached an all-time high of around $64,000 in April 2021 before experiencing a period of decline. However, it's important to note that the price of Bitcoin is constantly changing and can be influenced by a variety of factors, such as market demand, regulatory changes, and investor sentiment.
