He's a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Real Madrid's Spanish club and the Portugal national team.

He's the first Portuguese footballer to win three FIFA/Ballons d'Or and the first player to win four European Golden Shoe awards.

He became the world's most expensive player when he moved from Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009 in a transfer worth £80 million.

Growing up in a low-income family on the small island of Madeira, Cristiano Ronaldo, it was difficult for young Cristiano Ronaldo to grow up from his current lifestyle.

In fact, when he found out that his mother, Maria Cristiano, was pregnant, there was a debate about whether she should have an abortion because they were too poor.

His father worked as a janitor cleaning his youth clubs, and Ronaldo was ridiculed and harassed by his teammates.

He was fired for allegedly throwing a chair at his teacher.
