Cricket,ICC banned Shakib for two years, hiding information of corrupt conduct on several occasions

The Icc banned bangladesh captain and world number one all-rounder shakib al hasan for two years on tuesday.This ban is on playing all formats of cricket,although a sentence of one year has been suspended fom it.According to the ICC's official website shakib accepted three of violation of the ICC anti-corruption code,after which these actions were taken against him.shakib was approached by bookies for match fixing,but he did not inform the ICC.After the ban shakib issued a statement saying, I am deeply saddened that I have been banned from playing the game that I love,but because of not giving information about the offers I recieved I fully accept the ban on me.ICC's ACU (Anti corruption unit) relies on sportspersons to play a central rol in the fight against corruption and in this case I did not take my responsibility.He further said, like most sportspersons and sports fans around the world,I also want cricket to be corruption-free game and for this I am eiger to support their education program with the ACC team of ICC to ensure that,that young player should not make such a mistake that I have made.Reacting to this ICC general manager Alex marshall said,Shakib Al Hasan is a highly experienced International cricketer of Bangladesh.He has attend many education sessions and knows his obligations under the code.They should have informed him of every contact (by the bookie).He further said,Shakib acknowledged his mistake and fully supported the investigation.He has expressed a desire to help in future education session with the integrity unit,So that youn players get a chance to learn from their mistake.I am happy to accept this proposal.Shakib Al Hasan,during the hearing before the anty corruption tribunal,admitted the charges leveled against him and agreed to the ban imposed by the ICC.He will be able to return to international from October 29,2020 due to suspension of one year sentence on him out of two years.
