What is coronavirus? Why it is called as COVID-19
It is the largest category for an RNA virus. In most cases, it is difficult to detect if coronavirus or a different cold-causing virus is causing fever known as “COVID-19”, the newly identified coronavirus can cause pneumonia, and like other respiratory infections.

Where was COVID-19 First discovered

How Does Coronavirus Attack Your Body?
A virus infects your body by entering healthy cells. There, the invader makes copies of itself and multiplies throughout your body.
The new coronavirus latches its spiky surface proteins to receptors on healthy cells, especially those in your lungs.
Specifically, the viral proteins bust into cells through ACE2 receptors. Once inside, the coronavirus hijacks healthy cells and takes command. Eventually, it kills some of the healthy cells.

Treatment
There is currently no cure for any viral infection. The best treatment for the illnesses above depends on the type of coronavirus responsible, the specific symptoms and their severity, and the drugs available.
Viruses do not respond to antibiotics. Doctors recommend managing the symptoms of these infections at home, if possible, using over-the-counter pain relief and cough medications.
They may also recommend antiviral or other medications to slow the progression of the disease and reduce the risk of severe symptoms.
Anyone with complications or severe symptoms may need care in a hospital, including:

Asymptomatic cases, mild cases of COVID-19:
Isolate yourself in a well ventilated room.
Use a triple layer medical mask, discard mask after 8 hours of use or earlier if they become wet or visibly soiled. In the event of a caregiver entering the room, both caregiver and patient may consider using N 95 mask.
Mask should be discarded only after disinfecting it with 1% Sodium Hypochlorite.
Take rest and drink a lot of fluids to maintain adequate hydration.
Frequent hand washing with soap and water for at least 40 seconds or clean with alcohol-based sanitizer.
Don’t share personal items with other people in the household.
Ensure cleaning of surfaces in the room that are touched often (tabletops, doorknobs, handles, etc.) with 1% hypochlorite solution.
Monitor temperature daily.
Monitor oxygen saturation with a pulse oximeter daily.
Connect with the treating physician promptly if any deterioration of symptoms is noticed.
Instructions for caregivers:
Mask: The caregiver should wear a triple layer medical mask. N95 mask may be considered when in the same room with the ill person.
Hand hygiene: Hand hygiene must be ensured following contact with ill person or patient’s immediate environment.
Exposure to patient/patient’s environment: Avoid direct contact with body fluids of the patient, particularly oral or respiratory secretions. Use disposable gloves while handling the patient. Perform hand hygiene before and after removing gloves
