Coronavirus is a type of virus which infects humans and causes upper respiratory infection. These viruses are generally spreaded by through the air by coughing and sneezing. This also spreads by close personal contact, touching an object or surface contaminated with the virus and sometimes by fecal contamination, as far as I know. The illness caused by this lasts a short time anf is characterized by running nose, sore throat, shortness of breath, cough and fever. Coronaviruses are transmitted between animals and people. Recovery depends on the strength of the immune system. As I have gone through the news of various sources, I came to know that, to prevent this kind of infection spread, we have to wash our hands properly, we need to cover mouth and nose when we cough and sneeze, we need to thoroughly cook meat and eggs. We also should avoid close contact with people who show symptoms of respiratory illness. Some souces say that as of 25th February,2020, the outbreak of coronavirus has affected 80,000 people globally. There have been 2790 deaths among 78,927 cases in mainland China, mostly in the central province of Hubei as of 28th February. It has spread to at least 50 other countries. The most badly affected countries are Japan with 850 cases, Italy has recorded 229 cases, South Korea has recorded 893 cases, the UK gas recorded 15 cases as of 25th February . Besides, there have been deaths in Hongkong, Taiwan, France, Iran, Philippines. The WHO has declared the outbreak of coronavirus to be a public health emergency of international concern. A steady stream of new cases fueled the sense that the new coronavirus epidemic may turn into a global pandemic.
Treatment of infection caused by coronavirus as found in varous sources are like providing breathing support to the persons suffering from it. Some hospitals are also testing anti-viral drugs to see whether these have an impact on the disease or not. Some researchers are also trying to develop a vaccine which can cure coronavirus and but it is still under process. I request my readers to be cautious and I remind them the famous saying ' Prevention is better than cure.
