There was a king. The king was very intelligent. The king asked his ministers if anyone could steal from me. All the ministers said that no king can steal from you. Then a minister said that the king is some goldsmith. Who steals gold from in front of people. So the king said that it is impossible, no goldsmith can steal gold in front of me. He ordered all the goldsmiths of the state to be called to his court. All the goldsmiths came to the state as per the order.
Everyone was worried that why the king has called us together. Then the king came to court and said that can you steal gold even under my supervision. Some sonar said yes we can get a quarter of gold. Some said that we can steal half the gold. Then a goldsmith named Ram said that I can steal all the gold even when I am in front of you. Everyone was surprised that Ram you cannot do but again said no I can do it.
The king ordered that if you can do this, then I will get you married to my daughter and will give half of my kingdom to you. And said that all this work will be done under the supervision of me and the guards. Also, you will be given separate clothes, which you will wear only while working here and will wear your own clothes while leaving. It is said in Ram that it is as per your order. Ram started his work from the second day.
Under the supervision of the king, a gold idol of Shiva was given to make the idol kept moving. He would make a gold idol of Shiva at the king's one thing to note was that he would make a brass idol of Shiva at his house at night. This sequence continued. After about a week the idol was ready and Ram told the king now I want fresh curd to shine it was evening time, it was difficult to get fresh curd at this time.
The guards were ordered to find and bring fresh curd. The guards were very upset they did not get fresh curd. Then suddenly a young woman was selling fresh curd in a pot. Ram put the gold idol in that pot and took it out and made it shine. Then the king called his gold expert and asked to examine the idol and asked how much gold was in this idol. The gold experts were astonished that the king does not have a single gold in it. The king was also very surprised to know that the whole work has been done under my supervision, yet how can this happen.
The guards brought him to the court and the king bought the whole pot and gave it to Ram and asked the girl to leave after paying the money. The king asked Rama how did you do this. He told the king that knowing you will not punish me. The king promised that no would not happen. Ram told that the seller of curd was my sister, man took out a brass idol from him and put a gold idol. The king was pleased with his cleverness. He got his daughter married to him as promised and handed over half the kingdom to him.
