Prime Minister Imran Khan congratulated the country on the historic introduction of the J-10C aircraft, emphasizing that a country cannot be free and independent until it can protect itself. Pakistan's prime minister stated that the country's military forces are capable of defending the country to the highest degree possible. "If someone takes an aggressive move against Pakistan, we are convinced that the armed forces will retaliate with full force," he added. The J-10C is an all-weather, single-engine, single-seat, multi-role, fourth-plus generation fighter jet developed by China's state-owned Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIC). According to the AVIC, the Vigorous Dragon can compete with the French Rafael fighter. Premier Imran congratulated China for delivering the jets in less than eight months to Pakistan. He expressed his delight at the fact that the PAF has fully equipped itself with modern and indigenous technology. "Pakistan is progressing correctly toward prosperity and development." Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmad Babar Sidhu, the PAF's chief of staff, said the PAF was ready and skilled to prevent any enemy aggression. He went on to say that the J-10C was a fully integrated weapon, avionics, and combat system and that its introduction would boost the military's capabilities. The prime minister had earlier inspected a PAF contingent's guard of honor. He also inspected the J-10C aircraft and sat in the cockpit, where he was given a briefing on the jet, accompanied by three military chiefs. The guests were then treated to a fantastic fly-past of various aircraft formations. The newly inducted J-10C, F-16s, JF-17s, and Mirage were among the formations, which displayed a sophisticated array of avionics and weapons. Following the flyover, the prime minister watched the arrival of five J-10C aircraft into the 15 Squadron. The J-10C can be fitted with a more powerful active electronically scanned array (AESA) radar than the JF-17 Block 3's. The aircraft can carry fourth-generation air-to-air missiles such as the PL-10 and PL-15, which have a limited range and a range beyond optical range. The official commissioning of the J-10C into the PAF, according to China's Global Times, was still another big milestone, as it signaled the systematized organic sale of the country's modern aviation equipment to Pakistan. According to the AVIC, the J-10C is capable of striking multiple targets beyond the visual range in a complicated electromagnetic environment and delivering precision ground attacks with multiple guidance modes. The aircraft has remarkable mid-to-low altitude combat maneuverability, supersonic flying, short-range take-off and landing, huge battle radius, long-range, and mid-air refueling capabilities, thanks to its advanced complete avionics and weapon systems. In an earlier interview with the Global Times, Shi Hong, the executive chief editor of the Chinese journal Ship-borne Weapons, said, "The J-10C is not only more potent than the lightweight JF-17 because of its larger size, but it is also more powerful than Pakistan's aging US-made F-16 fighter." Pakistan's J-10C, on the other hand, would not replace the JF-17, but rather form part of a combination that would provide greater combat capability, according to Shi. China has lately deployed several modern weapon systems to Pakistan, including the J-10C. The Pakistan Navy received its first Type 054A/P frigate in January. The PAF's J-10Cs were armed with China's domestically built WS-10 engines and China's most potent short-range combat missile, the PL-10, and China's most powerful long-range combat missile, the PL-10.
