The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has launched a new digital initiative called ‘Pariksha Sangam’ which will be a one-step platform for board results. As per the official website, this platform is a comprehensive one stop portal for all exam activities.
This portal — parikshasangam.cbse.gov.in — has three main sections: Schools (Ganga), Regional offices (Yamuna) and Head office (Saraswati)..
Under the schools’ section, students and all other stakeholders will be able to get information about exam reference material, pre exam and exam activities, school DigiLocker and post exam activities, and communication and an integrated payment system. All these sections have more detailed information divided into further sub-sections. In the regional offices’ section, students will find information about RO dashboard for command, control and data management, historical information repository of schools and much more.
Additionally, with the CBSE boards class 10 and 12 results expected soon, this portal will play a crucial part. Students will be able to register their requests for re-evaluation, photocopy of answer sheets and more. Students will also be able to register their queries with schools and other results-related queries through this portal.
Meanwhile, CBSE results for classes 10 and 12 are expected to release by the end of this month. As students await their results, no date has been announced officially for results. “The board is on track to advance the schedule. UG admission schedule of different institutions are kept in mind and CBSE (is) in touch with the concerned authorities to protect the interest of its students,” Sanyam Bhardwaj, Controller of Exams, CBSE told The Indian Express.
Under the regional offices’ section, students will find information about RO dashboard for command, control and data management, historical information repository of schools and duplicate academic document system, centralized LOC correction and much more.
Each section in the portal will lead the user to the more detailed sub-sections. The exam reference material tab will give all the details starting from CBSE examination circulars, exam bylaws, curriculum, sample questions, question bank, model answers, and examination statistics.
Pariksha Sangam has been planned as a ‘sangam’ (confluence) for all exam-related activities on a single portal.
The Pariksha Sangam portal would streamline the process of all board exam-related activities such as School results, Board results, Reference Materials, and more. CBSE would be combining all its other portals such as e-Sandesh, IPS Payment system, OASIS, Board Circulars, etc under this portal. Meanwhile, the CBSE Board Results for class 10th and 12th are expected to be announced by the end of July.
The decision was taken in view of the rising cases. With the COVID cases crossing 8K, the decision was made by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation. This order is relevant to all the schools in the BMC area, irrespective of the board.
Students will be allowed to choose between online and offline classes, a hybrid mode of education has been adopted by educational institutions in the state. As per the guidelines issued, the head of institution or departments would have to issue a notice about the number of staff that have been inoculated with both the doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
CBSE has not clearly defined the weightage criteria for class 12 Term 1 exams 2022 as of now. However, the board, according to the Times Now report, had hinted that the two terms may have equal weightage. But this is highly unlikely to happen.
Earlier, in a circular issued on March 11, CBSE had said that the "weightage of Term 1 and Term 2 will be decided at the time of the declaration of Term II result and accordingly, final performance will be calculated." It is expected that the Board might give equal weightage of both the terms or decide to give more weightage to Term 2 and lesser weightage to Term 1 Exams.
