How to focus on yourself without focusing on others?

Firstly, we must understand that focusing on ourselves isn't selfishness, and it's self-love. So, of course, we can Focus on ourselves.

Depressed

Today, it's tough to watch how some people, especially the youth, are struggling and suffering in their lives due to the norms that our society has placed on us. Even in my life, at a certain point, all I did was focus on others, focus on what people will say, watch others become successful, felt no sense of self-worth and a lot of insecurities, and judged myself all the time.

But as I started to grow and read about these things, I felt like I was not worth doing anything compared to others.

So that's when I gave myself time to understand what was happening to me.

I understood that The most crucial thing should be patience. We shall give ourselves enough time to nurture our self-esteem and practice self-love by doing whatever we love, especially by being acquainted with our loved ones.

There are times which we all have undoubtedly come across in our life's is that some people try to constantly push you down, by saying we are so bad at this, look at her yeah she is so desperate to win the game, like this, they try to throw every negative thing on you that you never wanted to hear, never wanted to feel or experience in your life, the things you were so conscious about,

the things that not even your parents or siblings said to you, and it is during this challenging time that the ultimate life real test occurs. You get so occupied by the people's words that you finally start to prove these negative stereotypes or comments being imposed on you by society. You begin to feel like, "Ohh yes! Indeed, I'm not smart; I don't know how to do this and do that. Whatever people are saying is somewhat true, why am I so useless, why can't I be like others, why is everything negative and wrong with me  ". And this line goes on and on at such a point you start overthinking everything and start bubbling yourself. You begin to focus on what others think is correct, and you forget who you indeed are. So this is the point in life where you have to be strong and focus on yourself rather than listening to any of these negative comments.

The thing which I understood through this experience was I was always too hard on myself. So I learned that if we don't like anything that we do or how things are, we can always change it. It's never too late, and we aren't a tree to be stiff.

We should remember to put ourselves first no matter the consequences because that will define our self-worth and how much we can follow our path in life. And loving and focusing on yourself will also put you at the advantage of not getting into psychological problems like anxiety, depression and thus forming a solid mindset.
