Among the spacecraft, humans have laughed till now, voyager 1 and 2 of the Voyager series have the greatest fan base. Voyager 2 was laughed first on August 20, 1977, from NASA Kennedy Space Center and Voyager 1 on September 5, 1977. We have made many brave attempts after the launch of Voyager, including the Cassini mission to Saturn's giant moon Titan. But Voyager still has a special place. Its biggest speciality of it is that it was designed to work for 5 or 6 years with the technology and television camera of the 1970s, with only a few pieces of scientific equipment. Both the voyagers went out of the solar system and even after 40 years it is giving us signals. The world was amazed when the voyager defeated the sun's influence and reached interstellar space and was given the data about the plasma imbalance there. But before asking how it is possible? We have to ask another question, why we can't launch a spacecraft like Voyager in this modern era? The thing is that when the geometry of the solar system was aligned in a particular way, we had the technology to build a spacecraft that can conquer the boundaries of deep space. If simplified, the structure of our solar system can be explained as the sun in the middle, surrounded by 8 planets and their satellites revolving around them. And there are also rock particles which also revolve around the sun. So many astronomical units apart there are cloud particles that wrap the solar system and until a particular point, everything is held under the influence of the sun. The shape of the solar system can be compared to a disc. Keep in mind the point that the solar system is not like how we represent an atom. The reason behind it is the conservation of angular momentum. So when the planets are arranged in a straight line as they revolve, we can reach them through missions in a fast way. That is, when we launch the mission at a time when the target planet is close to Earth, we can reach there by using less energy and propellant. At the time when humans were able to collect data from space through different missions, the gas giants like Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune were unreachable. But in 1973 through Pioneer 10 and 11, we were able to collect the data from those planets.
Even if we want to launch a mission to Jupiter, it will be possible and more efficient when a launch window is created that gives the minimum distance between Earth and Jupiter. And also when we are focusing on a series of planets rather than one, then that kind of arrangement is required. So how this arrangement happens? That kind of arrangement of planets happened between the 1970s and 80s. So we utilized that arrangement of the solar system by Pioneer 10,11, voyagers 1 and 2. So that kind of arrangement again happens only after 100- 110 years from now.
