CAN CHILDREN AND TODDLER GET COVID-19?

The coronavirus pandemic has continued to affect people around the world, including babies and children. COVID -19 is contagious, it has been increase among children and babies also. Recently, I faced those experiences with my kids. As we know COVID-19  is contagious my 10 years old daughter infected from school she was complaining body ache when she came from school and nothing  next morning she was tested positive then we all took COVID taste all reports were negative except  my infant baby got COVID positive. The elder daughter’s symptoms were milder, only body ache and cough, but my infant baby faced hardier. However, generally, COVID-19 symptoms in kids and babies are milder than those in adults, and some infected children may not have any signs of sick at all.

But children and toddlers can get COVID-19 easily. Cases have been increasing among children, indicated by recent data from the American Academy of pediatrics. The widespread circulation in the U.S. of the highly contagious Omicron variant of the coronavirus is a key factor.

All parents should understand that children infected with the coronavirus can develop complications requiring hospitalization, and can transmit the virus to others.

In rare cases, children infected with the coronavirus can develop a series of lung infection and become very sick with COVID -19, and deaths have occurred. That’s why it is important to use precautions and prevent infection in children as well as adults.

Fever and cough are common COVID-19 symptoms in both adult and children; shortness of breath is more likely to be seen in adult. Children can have pneumonia, with or without obvious symptoms. They can also experience sore throat, excessive fatigue or diarrhea.

We should wash our hands frequently and when we go outsides and make sure we wear face mask
