Boyle’s Law (Pressure & Volume)
Abstract:
Hypothesis: It is possible to determine the relation between the pressure and volume of sample of air at a constant temperature.
Method Statement: By measuring and calculating the values after setting up the necessary arrangement, we became able to develop a relation between the pressure and volume at constant temperature.
Results Statement: From the measured and calculated data, we developed the final results of this experiment. So we got the derivation of Boyle’s Law that defines an inverse relation between pressure and volume at constant temperature.

So, S.D = 96.42
Slope = m = 1/V vs. P = 3370
Equation for 1/V vs. P,
%Difference = (3810 – 3370/3370) × 100 = 13.06%
UVolume measurement = 1×0.2 = ±0.2
Questions:
Ø From the plot obtained, we came to know that as the volume decreases, pressure increases and vice versa at constant temperature.
Ø No, the pressure did not stay constant at different volumes.
Ø It can be possible in rare or ideal case. It will not give us the Boyle’s Law.
Conclusion:
We did this experiment with great care so that we could take correct values of the pressure and volume that have given us the relation between pressure and volume at constant pressure. In order to know the accuracy of this lab experiment, we obtained the percent difference.
Hence, our overall performance in this experiment remained good. There were small ups and downs but we got the right values and determined the true relation for pressure and volume.
