Bigil Box Office Collection film earns over Rs230 crore
BIGIL BOX OFFICE COLLECTION: Actor Thalapathy Vijay, the versatile Kollywood actor, is currently basking in the success of his new movie 'Bigil.' Bigil has continued to stay keen on both domestic and international box office markets. Thalapathy Vijay starrer Bigil Released on October 25, the film received a fantastic response from the audience as well as film critics. Film analyst Taran Adarsh says that Bigil has raked 7.91 crores in the US, 4.60 crores in the UK, and 5.41 crore in Australia.
In India, bigil has breached Rs 100 crore mark in south India Tamilnadu with Chennai's contribution of Rs 10 crore alone. Director Atlee directs this film from the broad vision and also gives a social message to society. Bigil budget is approximately 180 crores INR.
The overseas earning has spiked the bigil total collection to over Rs 235 crore. The film has also surpassed the collection of Rajnikanth's film Petta on Sunday. With this, Bigil has become 2019's highest-grossing Kollywood at the worldwide box office.
Bigil is the third collaboration of Vijay and Atlee Kumar after Theri and Mersal. Produced under the banner of AGS Entertainments, film Bigil was released around 3000 screens globally. The film also stars Nayanthara, Jackie Shroff, Kathir, Vivek, Daniel Balaji, Anandraj, yogi babu, Devadarshini, Arjun, and among others.
The film stars Vijay in a dual role. The film follows Micheal, a loud and former footballer who decides to coach a women football team when their coach attacked. Micheal faces challenges when his team doesn't cooperate with him due to his violent background, and also finds himself hunted by some rivals who want revenge.
The soundtrack and background score were composed by A.R.RAHMAN, following his second collaboration Atlee after Mersal and also his fifth collaboration with Vijay. The album features five songs, with all the lyrics written by Vivek. Sony Music India secured the music rights. Actor Vijay sang a song for this film, which was written by Vivek, that confirmed by a poster release on July 8, 2019.
Bigil is the first Tamil film to release in IMAX screens. Bigil budget not that much tightened.
