At first glance, the 13 Pro uses a familiar 6.1 in the Super Retina XDR display 'but' Apple finally decided to bring Promotion to the iPhone; with the panel now reaching 120 Hz unnecessary. The notch is also 20% smaller. When it comes to cameras, you can expect larger sensors and faster apertures, which means better low-light performance, much more comparable quality when upgrading to the ultra-wide side of the phone (which now also offers macro shooting capabilities) and a 3x telephoto lens, allowing you to shoot farther than before. Plus, iPhone still leads the way when it comes to video capture, earning smart news features like Cinematography mode, which gives you more control over how your movie looks at the moment. Pair Promotion technology with your phone's powerful A15 Bionic chip and larger battery, and you can expect substantial longevity gains; making it an iPhone for two days on a single charge.
2. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra – Best Android phone
While the S21 Ultra dabbled in Note-like features, the Galaxy S22 Ultra is undoubtedly a full-fledged successor to the Note 20 Ultra 2020 in all but name. The design is markedly different from other entries in the Galaxy S22 lineup (i.e. a lot"Note-like) and has an integrated S Pen stylus that extends functionality beyond most rivals, especially in terms of productivity. Despite the familiar-looking camera hardware, Samsung's updates make it one of the best systems around. Any phone right now; with a 108Mp main shooter supported by an ultra-wide and two telephoto lens lenses at different zoom levels, with particularly improved zoom performance over previous models. The expansive 6. The 8-inch AMOLED LT PO display offers both high WQHD+ resolution and up to 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, while long-term software support that surpasses even Google's Pixels complements an impressive roster of pros.
3. iPhone 13 – Superb all-rounder
While it loses out on the 13 Pro’s high refresh rate display, the iPhone 13 still boasts cutting-edge features like Apple’s newest 5 nm A15 Bionic chip and the latest camera features, like Cinematic Mode. The rear camera system is now located diagonally, mainly to accommodate the impressive O-I-S (optical image stabilization) sensor that was exclusive to the 2020s iPhone 12 Pro Max (although there’s still no telephoto sensor), while on the front – despite the same 60Hz refresh rate as the previous model – you still get a stunning 6. 1in an OLED display, complete with a smaller notch. IOS 15 is a great improvement over Apple's already respected mobile operating system box; adding wellbeing features like notification summary, that ensure you’re not constantly distracted by your device. Like the Pro, some of the best battery life on an iPhone comes as part of the iPhone 13 experience 'but' fast charging speeds are still well behind the curve.
4. Google Pixel 6a
Improved cameras, $449 / £399 / €459 is better value and the Pixel phone most people should buy. For the asking price, you get the Google Tensor chip, identical to the 6 and 6 Pro, with flagship-level performance. The Old A series Pixels were slow, not this one. You only get a 60Hz refresh rate screen, slow 18W charging, and a plastic back that we found scratched quite easily. There’s also only a 12.2Mp main camera, the same as the Pixel 5, instead of the Pixel 6's 50Mp shooter. But aside from that, this is close to the full Pixel experience at a superb price, with three years of Android OS updates and five years of security updates.
