In this match, Kohli scored 82 runs from 53 balls and was on the field till the last ball the Indian team fought till the last ball and got a thrilling victory by 4 wickets. Australia and Sri Lanka clashed in today's league match of the T20 World Cup Super 12 round. Australia won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Sri Lanka Innings:
Sri Lankan opener Kushal Mendis was bowled by Pat Cummins for 5 (6) wickets due to extra bounce and swing at the beginning of the Perth pitch. Following this, both Nishanka and Dhananjaya de Silva played calmly and formed a big partnership. No extra swing after the power play.
Both were playing well and Silva was caught by Warner on 26 (23) as Maxwell tried to topple the ball. Warner assaulted the ball that went very high and returned. Sri Lanka suffered a setback as Nishanka was then run out for 40 (45).
Following this, while Asalanga was playing well at one end, Rajapaksa 7 (5), Shanaka 3 (5), and Hazaranga 1 (4) who tried to throw the balls at the other end started building pace.

Eventually, Karunaratne formed a partnership with Asalanga. Then 11 runs leaked in the 19th over bowled by Starc. In the last over, Asalanga, who acted like a Dinesh Karthik-like finisher against Cummins, hit a four for a six, followed by Karunaratne who scored a four for a total of 20 runs.

Chasing the target, opener Finch 11 (10), Mitchell Marsh 17 (17) and Maxwell 23 (12) all failed to score big in the Australian team. Following this, Stoinis formed a partnership with opener Pinch.
Then Stoinis continued to play aggressively. He crossed the half-century in 17 balls and was amazing. Especially in the 14th over, he hit two fours against Shanaka and then hit 2 sixes and 4 fours against Hazaranga. As Stoinis hit 2 consecutive sixes off Deekshana, Australia posted 158/3 in 16.3 overs to win by 7 wickets.
Finch scored 31 (42) runs and Stoinis scored 59 runs off 18 balls including 4 fours and 6 sixes.
