Basic protective measures against the new coronavirus

Wash Your Hand Frequently

Regularly and throughly clean your hands with an alcohol-based hand rub or wash them with soap and water. As washing your hand with soap and water or using alcohol-based hand rub kills viruses that may be on your hands.

Maintain Social Distancing

Maintain atleast 1 metre (3ft) distance between yourself and anyone who is coughing or sneezing. As when someone coughs or sneezes they spray small liquid droplets from their nose or mouth which may contain viruses. If you are too close, you can breathe in the droplets, including the coronavirus if the person's coughing has a disease.

Avoid Touching Eyes, Nose & Mouth

Hand touchs many surfaces and can pick up viruses. Once contamined, hand can transfer the virus to your eyes, nose or mouth. From there, the virus can enter your body and can make you sick.

Practice Repiratory Hygiene 

Make sure you and the people around you, follow good repiratory hygiene. This means covering your mouth and nose with your bent elbow or tissue when you cough or sneeze. then dispose of the used immmediately. As droplets spread virus. By following good repiratory hygiene you protect the people around you from viruses such as cold, flu and coronona.

Stay Informed And Follow Advice Given By Your Health Provider 

 Stay infromed on the latest devlopment about coronavirus. Follow advice given by your heathcare provider or public health authority on how to protect yourself from such viruses. As they are the most updated on whether your area is affected or not and are best placed to advise on what the people should do to protect themselves.

Measures For Persons Who Are In Or Have Visted Areas Where COVID-19 Is Spreading 
  • Follow the guidance outlined above.
  • Stay at home if you begin to feel unwell until you recover. As avoiding contact with others and vists to medical facilities will allow these facilities to operate more effictively and help you and others from possible coronavirus.
  • If you develop fever, cough and difficulty brething, seek medical advice promtly for other conditions. Call in advance and tell your provider of any recent travel or contact with travelers.
