Starting a business with a broad idea can feel exciting. A founder may imagine serving thousands or even millions of people. But at the early stage, trying to appeal to everyone can make it harder to explain what the product actually does.
A more focused approach is to solve one clear problem for a particular group of people.
This does not mean a startup must stay small forever. It simply gives the business a clearer starting point. When people recognize that a product addresses something they already struggle with, understanding its purpose becomes much easier.
