The story up to this point: Last week, the Supreme Court of India permitted an unmarried lady to end her pregnancy at 24 weeks, after the Delhi High Court would not permit it, refering to the arrangements of the Medical Termination of Pregnancy (MTP) Act. The top court said if a clinical board evaluated that the pregnancy would be ended with next to no damage to the mother, then she could feel free to have an early termination.
