Diabetes is a life-style disease which causes high-blood sugar. It's a metabolic condition due to which your body is unable to produce or effectively process blood glucose, also known as blood sugar. Blood Glucose is produced from the food we consume, especially carbohydrates and it’s the main source of our energy. The Pancreas generates a hormone called Insulin, which lets the glucose from our food to be used by the cells in our body for energy. For diabetic patients the glucose ends up staying in the blood instead of reaching out for their cells. This is because their body isn’t able to produce enough insulin or is unable to make proper use of it. Insulin helps to keep our blood sugar level in control and prevents it from rising high (hyperglycemia) or dropping too low (hypoglycemia).
