Imran Khan is a Pakistani politician, former international cricketer, and philanthropist. Born on October 5, 1952, in Lahore, Pakistan, Khan studied at Aitchison College and later attended the Royal Grammar School in Worcester, England. He rose to prominence as a cricket player, captaining the Pakistan national cricket team to victory in the 1992 Cricket World Cup. After retiring from cricket, Khan entered politics and founded the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party in 1996. He became the Prime Minister of Pakistan after his party won the general elections in 2018. Throughout his career, Khan has been known for his efforts to combat corruption, promote social justice, and improve healthcare and education in Pakistan. He has been married three times and is also recognized for his philanthropic work, including the establishment of the Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
