Artificial Intelligence And Its Types

In computer science, artificial intelligence(AI), sometimes called machine intelligence, is intelligence demonstrated by machines, with comparison to the natural intelligence of us humans. The study of AI is also called the study of ‘intelligent agents’and is defined as : any device that perceives its environment and takes actions that maximize its chance of successfully achieving its goals. In general use language, ‘artificial intelligence’ is often used to describe machines/computers that demonstrate the same "cognitive" functions that humans depict with the human mind, major of which is learning and problem solving.

Types of AI

Artificial intelligence can be classified into three different types of systems:

  • Analytical: Analytical AI has only characteristics resembling to our  cognitive intelligence; generating a learnable representation of the world and using learning based on past experience to forecast future decisions.
  • Human-inspired:Human-inspired AI has elements from cognitive and emotional intelligence; understanding human emotions, in addition to cognitive elements, and considering them in their decision making.
  • Humanized artificial intelligence:Humanized AI shows characteristics of all types of competencies (i.e., cognitive, emotional, and social intelligence ), is able to be self-conscious and is self-aware in interactions.
