Are anti-smoking ads really effective?
Whenever we see a smoking scene in a movie or a tv serial, there is written in tiny handwriting that, 'Smoking is injurious to health.' But what is the use of writing if the person in front of us is doing the same thing?
The movies are just based on these things only then what is the use of writing all that. The handwriting is also so small that one can't be able to see it. On the one side, you show such scenes to people and influence them, and on the other side, you show the ads that smoking is injurious to health, then I think this is useless.
The ads are also effective in some cases but for those who are not so addicted to them. The ads shown for stopping smoking are also not so creative and are not shown regularly. People think smoking is a sign of richness or a show-off, but at the same time, they are paying for their life.
In this case, I don't think that this ad is effective because on the package also it is written that smoking is injurious to health, but what is the use people are buying it on a large scale. Many medicines and all are available to cure the diseases that occurred because of smoking. People are not at all serious about their health.
Some people don't also watch this ad. They change their channels and move on with the same thing. I think not the only slogan but as other ads, these anti-smoking ads should also be creative and should seriously impact people's minds. Then only will it help in stopping their smoking habit; otherwise, it will be of no use?
Why does it happen.? People are heavily going under the addiction of these bad habits. There are alternative products launched to remove the bad habits, but if you see the ratio of cigarettes and the other products, the ratio of cigarettes will be higher. The main reason behind this is the ineffective ads shown on some only channels. The ads will be effective when the movies and TV shows also stop showing all these bad things because people get highly influenced by all this and do not take these anti-smoking ads seriously.
The ads should not be shown in theatres but also in schools and colleges as the new generation is the reason for addiction or these children's addict the most as they are not aware of the disadvantages. So if this ad should be shown to them, then the ads will be effective for their future and will save them from being harmed with severe diseases. Secondly, these ads should be shown in malls too. Many people are present there, and if they see somebody doing it, they can also be addicted.
Now it is a world of challenges, and we should keep ourselves fit and healthy. So let us show such ads that will really create a great impact on smokers.
