AMITABH BACHCHAN (Famous Indian Actor & King Of Bollywood)

I was born in Allahabad. My father Harivanshrai Bachchan, was a popular poet in Hindi. He used to recite his poems and deliver speeches throughout the country. Therefore, we received our mother's company more. Her name was Teji. She was born in Punjab province of Pakistan. She was born in rich family. But after marriage she managed her middle class family very nicely. She was highly educated. She was very particular about doing on time studies, going to school, and playing properly. I was very shy. This made her worry about how I will spend my life. She loved me very much, even then. She and my father were keen to make me take part in extracurricular activities and become bold. Once I accept a part in a drama because of her wish. I practiced very hard. However, I had a high fever before the presentation of the drama. I even got the opportunity but I was affected with high fever. I could not do any thing. My mother provided me encouragement at that time. She urged my father to do something. After that father took me to a room in a house near the school ground where the drama was to be held, before it started. Even though I was in the bed, there was a close distance between the stage and my room and I could hear the dialogues clearly. My mother advised me to achieve all things in life by my own efforts. She prohibited me to use the name of my father or his friends throughout the life. You stand as Amitabh Bachchan. Never achieve anything because you are son of Harivanshrai Bachchan. If you fail, try again. 

But never take support from anyone, she insisted.  Therefore, I neither took any recommendations when I got a job nor when I come to Mumbai to join the film industry. I even did not request anybody to telephone for me.

My family had close relations with Pandit Nehru and Indira Gandhi. My father had known many influential persons in film industry. If I wanted, I could have requested him to recommend me or to use his influence. But I believed in the teachings of my mother.

After struggling for many years, I was successful
